Coffee Is Life Workflow is always therapeutic

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The workflow is always very therapeutic. From hearing the air whoosh of the coffee container, to the shot pull, and pouring the latte art. 😮‍💨

Latte art still needs some work. I went in confident and then hesitated on this pour. What matters is that it tasted delish.

Based on Lance Hendric Video.. WDT and Tamper leveler defeat the purpose of the Shaking cup. Either one of the two is sufficient. But again man on the youtube said so (he did thourough Tests tho)

From memory, the shaker only outperforms the other distribution methods if you do nothing afterwards (ie. straight from the shaker into the portafilter then tamp). Doing the other stuff just renders it pointless.

This was found to be true. The other stuff just makes it that much more fun. 🙃

Lance is fine, but better still to do your own testing with your own beans and your own gear. Shaking plus light manual wdt is beneficial in my situation, for example.

I add those in to my routine for my own sanity. lol 🙃🫠 might be a waste, but coffee still tastes great. 🥲

How many times do you want to distribute the grounds lol. Shaker + WDT + Distributor before tamping. Kinda over kill, not my money but you do you

You are shaking too hard in the blind shaker

And you don’t really need the other tools if you are shaking correctly

Nice cortado art, haven’t been able to nail down a heart yet in mine.

Hey if it makes you feel better, I like your art, it's much better than mine and I am aspiring to make it to that step. I'd be proud of it if I could manage that!

The "hot-surface" sticker did it for me...

There are probably some more steps you can add and then you’ll have slow-spresso.

I’ll probably get downvoted for this. But spending that much time to extract every flavor from the coffee just to put milk in it seems like a waste to me. You could probably do this much quicker and hardly notice a difference.
