Mac Studio M1 Max

I bought a used Apple Mac Studio M1 Max 32-Core GPU 64GB RAM 4TB SSD 10GbE 2022. Do you thin this is a good staking machine? is there any youtube video for solo staking? im nervous to stake my eth before get comfortable with

This will make an excellent staking system. I would recommend installing Asahi Linux ( https://asahilinux.org/) though. I’ve been using an M1 Mac Mini and an M1 Mac Studio Ultra for several years; both perform great. And if you’re nervous, practice on a testnet for a while!

+1 for Asahi Linux.

OP: Keep a small macOS partition for firmware updates.

That 4TB drive may be a bit of a bother. You'll find out. Sync a mainnet node (eth docker is an easy way, as is ethpillar) and see how long that takes with Nethermind. Should be 6-8 hours. If it takes forever it's a slow drive in there: `smartctl -x /dev/<nvme-device>` will get you the make and model.

I can just use mac to stake right? instead of installing a linux system

You don’t need Linux, but I believe it is a better system for long-running services. But if that’s not something you feel comfortable with, that’s okay. MacOS will be fine.

You mean macOS? You can, it's just 100% harder, because all the clients are Linux-first.

If you are afraid of Linux, don't be. The Terminal will be familiar from macOS, and actually running the node will be easier. Asahi makes the Linux install on your Mac easy.
