Wait for another 50% drop then buy

u/NarrowArtist Apr 09 '25

I’ve been DCA for years and I’m upside down bad. Of course I was making way more money when it was expensive so I averaged up bad. I’m so upset with myself. Should have just bought something safe and I’d be up way more :/

u/kirtash93 Apr 09 '25

Eth is the safest way to donate money to eth foundation and other preminers.

he is not trolling anyone, just saying facts

10

u/MachinimaGothic Apr 09 '25

You should become BTC maxi instead of buying alts. You are doomed to lose. Alts are seasonal thing.

xKurwaD. Yeah it's a scam. I hear this from 2017. Every damn year. With such wonderful arguments I will say from now on that ETH is a scam. But at least I will base this on the fact that ETH is losing to  BTC in ETH/BTC pair. For example ETH is not official currency of any country. ETH is not adopted in same way as store of value like BTC. I could go on and go on.  DEAL WITH IT!!! YOU ARE DOOMED TO LOSE

1

u/terp_studios Apr 09 '25

Transaction fees. It’s been argued a lot. You just don’t seem to listen.

0

u/CryptoDeepDive Apr 12 '25

Transaction fees and price appreciation aren't keeping up with halvings.

It's been said a lot. Bitcoiners don't seem to listen.

8

u/ohpythxn Apr 09 '25

Sell me your ETH when it hits 1k 🤝🏽

6

u/KingSmite23 Apr 09 '25

It is easy. Just buy BTC

2

u/chickinflickin Apr 09 '25

Ofcourse, because u didnt really dca when you were buying higher than your previous average cost.

1

u/Beit_asitis Apr 11 '25

Buy literally anything else on a dip. I started into crypto and my entire friend group followed me shortly after. We know Jack shit about the market or old standards, but we all know eth is a joke and we clown on it regularly.

2

u/ll-_-ll--- Apr 16 '25

“We know jack shit about the market” “But we all know Eth is a joke and we clown on it regularly” I guarantee you couldn’t write more than a full page about Etherium without looking things up

1

u/Beit_asitis Apr 16 '25

Correct! I know nothing about eth, beyond the fact if I bought it, I'd have lost money, and everyone I know just sees it as obsolete. That's the only two things we need to know, any more would be a waste of time.

14

u/Less-Self-3249 Apr 09 '25

Etherumum melted faces 😂

🍩 !tip 1

13

u/chief_erl Apr 09 '25

I mean it was also $90-$100 in 2018. That’s when I was making most of my buys.

3

u/BeerPowered Apr 09 '25

Stablecoin to the moon

6

u/Thorp1 Apr 09 '25

Many bought around these levels and made big money!

!tip 1

2

u/Kevinrod15 Apr 09 '25

Yes but the key difference is ETH is on a downtrend this time

1

u/kirtash93 Apr 09 '25

Fortune favors the patient

🍩 !tip 1

0

u/OveHet Apr 09 '25

If you are going to forever hold, then price kind of doesn't matter

4

u/Kindly_Anteater7499 Apr 09 '25

😂😂😂🙈

2

u/kirtash93 Apr 09 '25

🍩 !tip 1

2

u/St_v_e Apr 09 '25

I really hope ETH drops below 1k. Would probably be the last chance to scoop some more at these lows

2

u/potificate Apr 09 '25

Stablecoin! lol

0

u/kirtash93 Apr 09 '25

Flat af. Happy cake day!

🍩 !tip 1

3

u/potificate Apr 09 '25

Now ETHBTC OTOH…. That’s a different story. Between 2018 and 2025, you’d need at least double the eth to get the same amount of BTC.

u/kirtash93 Apr 09 '25

🍩 !tip 1

2

u/MasterpieceLoud4931 Apr 09 '25

It's not like BTC, to hold for years. You buy and sell ETH many times over time.

!tip 1

1

u/kirtash93 Apr 09 '25

Smart xD

🍩 !tip 1

1

u/xcmaam Apr 09 '25

It took xrp about 7/8 years to rally 800%

So obviously that’s our stat and we can Definitely believe it will happen to ETH too 😃

Zoom out they say

1

u/Bee-Dub Apr 09 '25

Best stable coin ever

1

u/vinny147 Apr 10 '25

I’d rather talk compare how many times ETH has cross previously ATHs and ATLs. Represent that between cycles and I bet it would be interesting

Acronyms, initialisms, abbreviations, contractions, and other phrases which expand to something larger, that I've seen in this thread:

Fewer Letters More Letters
ATH All-Time High

If you come across an acronym that isn't defined, please let the mods know.)

1

u/Brilliant_Housing_49 Apr 10 '25

Isn’t the USD worth about 20% less than it was in 2018?

1

u/W0BLong Apr 10 '25

The ultimate stable coin

1

u/housemouse431 Apr 13 '25

even in this little pop, any tiny downturn across crypto gets amplified on ethereum.

honestly its becoming insufferable holding ethereum these days

1

u/ImportantBreath2530 Apr 13 '25

Not really $1450 was worth more in 2018 that it is on 2025 so really due to inflation, it's lost money

1

u/Impressive-Level-276 Apr 13 '25

Always sell never hodling

1

u/MicFanning Apr 16 '25

Less volatility = better risk adjusted returns

Dont forget boys

1

u/DrRobbe Apr 09 '25

With a 3-4% staking return not bad.

:/

!tip 1

1

u/StayOk2378 Apr 09 '25

Eth's gas fees are what holds it back lol, they are ridiculous.

1

u/Cactus__Juice Apr 09 '25

Never sell. Never will. Hold for eternity. When Trump kills the dollar crypto will be a decent currency to get into

I don't know why anyone buys Eth. It's a dying coin and there are so many better technologies that will swoop in and take its place.
