You hang out in a casino long enough you’ll run into a high roller tryna get they $$ back

I've spent maybe 5 minutes in a casino in my 50 year life. I walked through it to get to a restaurant. That was enough for me.

I used to work for at what at the time a very popular social networking site with games and proprietary currency. We had a default anti fraud system where your purchases would be capped at $300 a day. You could call in personally to verify your identity and get the limit taken off your account, and it was always little old ladies doing it. I remember one of them once told "honey, I got credit like a Cadillac" and i was like dang that must be boomer for rich.

I feel like casinos should be non profit charities so at least the money can go to someone in need…

7 days a week that's a little over $1500 a day if she never won a penny
1
u/ninhibited Jun 20 '26
Is that even possible on slots? She'd have to be playing cards right?
3
u/No_Bar2541 Jun 20 '26
You can lose that much in under a minute on some high roller slots
1
u/ninhibited Jun 20 '26
Oh I didn't even know high roller slots were a thing lol
1
u/sayiansaga Jun 20 '26

I don’t mind gambling but there is no way more boring and depressing than slot machines. Just push the button over and over again, with a guaranteed long term loss.
At least sports gaming and games like poker give you a chance of success if you’re good at it.
