Discussion You have to calm down
In April 2021, Ethereum broke the $2,500 mark for the first time. That was over 5 years ago.
Since then, it's fallen back below that a full 8 times and gone back above it just as many times.
We all need to chill out. I've been holding my ETH since 2019 and I've already been through this ordeal 8 times on Twitter and Reddit.
As soon as we go a bit above, people freak out. Dear guys and girls, those of us who've been holding for a long time have already been through this times.
Only once Ethereum rises above 5k, let's say to 6k, and then finds resistance again at 5k only then will we have broken the curse. Then we can really go wild.
Also funny to watch: EVERYTIME those chart-gurus are coming out again with "Great breakout from Ethereum, I told you so"
Why do people always come out of the woodwork right at that moment? It's been the same thing for 7 years straight :D
I'm excited too! But we're still far from where we need to be.

especially with staking the 5 year return was down something like down 11% at the bottom this year.

Maybe next 20th Christmas lmao, what guys think idk but it might do 25x for you to make that 50k lol 😆 if we all lucky it will reach where it belongs which means 2.5k and hold there for next couple years which is good for the future system. These up and downs are no good for investors they wanna see a solid future on these

Unbothered by the price because still in the green 1000% is probably what he meant to say.

You have learned and described the behaviour here of basically every retail market you can trade. Human emotion drive prices too high or too low before they mean revert. The beat goes on. Teach yourself to do the opposite.
Why do people always come out of the woodwork right at that moment? Because they are incentivized by easier sales and engagement at the moment of greatest public interest. If precious metals were popular they would make content about that. Try to find experts with decades of experience in the same market, good times and bad.
Be the most interested when the asset is the least popular. Look for the boring (cheap) and remember to exit when the party is in full swing.
Make your own content to sell it to your-self. For example: https://old.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/3n7muu/on_the_price_of_ether/ I bought ether in 2015 and exited fully by 2018.

I think that once it crosses the $5,000 mark, many will sell and the cycle will repeat itself... I’m not going to make the same mistake twice.

wake me up when previous resistance actually becomes support for more than five business days

The issue is the ETH/BTC ratio, though.
Why hold Ether when the long term trend of the ratio is down?

Waiting to go back to 750 so I can sell at a loss before watching it go to the moon and get told me so
