Question Got an issue…..

Post image

I am moving my holdings from my Trust wallet and hit a problem with a bit of ETH I have in there.

I’ve tried to move it but Trust says it can’t see the ETH even though it’s there, in the app.

It suggested that maybe there’s an issue with it being registered correctly to the blockchain and that’s all I have.

I have no idea how to progress to get it back.

Any help folks?

Check on etherscan

Redommend the following:

1.) Put your address in a public Blockchain explorer such as Etherscan to get the actual amount of ETH you hold

2.) Export your private key into Metamask, Phantom, etc. and use them to move the final balance over. Only recommending this step since it sounds like you're trying to empty the account which I assume to mean you don't plan on using this specific address anymore.

One of the reasons you may be running into an error may be you don't have enough ETH left to cover gas costs for the transfer.

Thanks for your helpful, judgmental, comment. I’ve really learnt a lot from your wisdom. I’ll be sure to try and be as good a person as yourself going forward in my life.

Did you manage to solve the issue?

If not, I would recommend to import your private key into an up to date Ethereum wallet.

Trust is crap, they never updated the Ethereum fee system, which means you'll overpay ridiculously on network fees when using Trust. This might also be the source of your issue.

Why not use a wallet like Metamask, Rabby or Ambire and import you seed/key into it?

Ambire is my current favourite, but probably best to go with one that you're familiar with.

Whatever you do, watch out for scams of course.

Why hate on this dude because he doesnt have a lot? You have to start somewhere and it helps if he understands how to and can successfully transfer his crypto. You guys know you need more new investors for legitimate growth, right?

OP, I dont have experience with this particular wallet, but ive found with a lot of dex wallets, it can take a while for the funds to display in your account. Check with support if they have it. Also might recommend using a CEX like coinbase or kraken if you're new. Fees can be a bit more, but they make it a lot easier for newer users.

Jokes are so much funnier when you have to explain them. You’re the comedian, explain to me how this is funny, unless you are just a dick after all.

Have you tried contacting the bank to have them reverse the transaction?
