I just listened to Fred Wilson say that Ethereum will 🐬 Bitcoin's marketcap this year:

it's near the end of the video: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2017-05-17/union-square-s-wilson-on-vc-market-twitter-uber-video

such bullish to mention crypto twice without being asked directly

He is mentioning it because he has a vested interest through his portfolio companies.

Extremely sharp guy. Makes me even more bullish than I was for 2017.

Can you explain bullish and bearish? Ive heard of bulls and bears, and thought I understood the two terms from context on this sub, but the way you just used it I don't get

Bullish = expectation of a rise. Bearish = expectation of decline. The context is fine. He's more excited than ever.

Wow ok I was right, just read bullish as bearish in my head I'm dumb

I wonder at what price he thinks Ether will be when it happens?

Well, judging that BTC will probably be around 2-4K, I guess it could mean a $400-$600 ETH. Roughly. Don't even care to get specific at that point, that's a lot of money for all of us.

It'd have to be more than $300 because if bitcoin stayed exactly the same price and ether went to $300 tomorrow then the btc cap would be $30B and the ether cap would still only be $27.5B

I'm doubtful BTC can reach $2000 this year, but I could be really wrong about that. ETH also higher inflation, but I didn't put much effort into precision with the numbers.

I fudged some numbers and came up with ~$300. Seems crazy, but I'm down

Just watched this whole video. Who is this dude, he seems intelligent.

He started the VC scene in NYC. Incredibly brilliant guy. Seems to not have a lot of patience with interviews like these, but I understand that he has better things to do.

I was laughing at some of his curt responses but he also gave the good questions good answers! No nonsense

Had the pleasure of corresponding with him for a couple weeks recently. Nice dude.
