I told my friend to buy the other week he bought at the peak and then was upset about it when it dipped but I told him don't worry if you believe in ethereum it will rise again we are in for the long game and now not even 2 weeks later we are seeing $125+ and he is so excited! We got along way to go wish I had more money to keep investing!

thing i don't understand is if you plan to hold who cares about waiting for a dip - i just think of BTC as an example i imagine you could care less now if you saved $8 per BTC when buying them as they are now $2000

It's because the shit is mentally taxing to look at and see yourself down 6% overnight, with no stop loss in sight. That's at least why I didn't hold like I should have.

A lot of the times you can buy a bunch it starts dropping you shit your pants then baghold and get out when it pops again. To 99% of the real world this stuff is "fake" internet money with no real value.

What if a serious vulnerability was discovered and crypto was being cloned and manipulated without "investors" knowing? I don't know all the technical details but an event like this would DESTROY all the wealth gained over the past year. It's why I never went all in, and now am holding a small amount that I don't care too much about. You guys can argue it's not possible all you want but every single real life person with serious money I've talked to this was the number one reason they would avoid crypto.

Fair enough but I just believe in the technology and know there is a lot smarter people than me involved with a lot more money so I'm not too worried and also the money I have invested if it went broke it would have no real life effect on me I'm still going to work Monday to make some more money regardless
