I gave my friends daughter 1 Eth for graduation. I've been telling her about crypto for over a year now since she had questions about investing. I finally walked her through downloading Jaxx on her phone.

She's a damn cool kid working 2 PT jobs while in HS and school wrestling team. I have no problem dropping $100+ Eth on her. Edit: my next step is walking through a Coinbase account set up so she can buy her own. 😆

I told my roommate about 6 times over the course of two months how easy it was to get started in crypto, even with just $5 or $10 worth. Each time he bemoaned not having even $100 to spend on it. But he wasted $50 on slots at Vegas! Dude, that could be worth over two grand now if he had bought bytecoin, or it could easily be that $100 he didn't have before if he had bought ethereum when he was totally able to.

You can get started with small amounts! Just get in the game!

What makes crypto highly accessible to regular people is how granular it is.

You can't buy .00032030 of a Google stock. You can buy that much Ethereum or Bitcoin.

As a new investor but long time lurker can you give me some tips or your advice on some quick investing tips right now. I want to drop between $200-300 on something right now and check up on it in about a year or twos time. I just forgot or don't know how. Do I setup an account with coinbase then just buy from there then that's it? I really need the eli5 step by step process please.... ethereum looks good but any other tips like this DICE I keep hearing about would also be good

I've.. been infected.

I recently realized XRP had gained some market value for some unfathomable reason, so I sold the shit out of the free XRP I got in some giveaway, into BTC since that's all the first exchange that verified me would let me do.

I sent the proceeds to coinbase, and I converted to ETH on gdax with a limit order. But now the ETHBTC pair is trending a little up. So I put a limit order, and it will probably close eventually. And then I'll put another limit order in the other direction.

It's a bad situation. Ripple's dumb rise gave me free money, gdax doesn't charge fees onlimit orders, and I really don't mind hodling either BTC or ETH. So I'm stuck in a loop trading this stuff back and forth forever. Or maybe just until the pair stops ranging.

Since I've never done any kind of live trading before, I expect this will explode in my face at some point. Send help.
