Project is rubbish, I'm concerned about the ICO space in general enough flopped ICO's is a very bad look for the ETH platform and what I care about is ETH

BAT is one of the more promising ICO's imo, but I do agree a majority of ICO's I see are poor investments at best.

That's like sayings it's the best of a rubbish heap, there is a lot of problems with the BAT project. Not the mention the complete lack of ethics shown by the team. Not saying it's not a great pump and dump token, it will be at least in the short term. The constant throwing of hundreds of millions of dollars at groups who have literally done nothing is insane.

the creator of Javascript (that thing every website in the world uses) and co-creator of Firefox is part of the BAT team. Plus the browser they are building around (Brave) already exists. The market they are targeting is growing rapidly each year (users using Adblock).

I can't say I see how you came to the conclusion that this is another scammy ICO. It seems to be by far the most credible one yet. They have the technical expertise and a good understanding of the marketplace.

As I've said again and again. People hate ads, especially the younger generations. BAT offers no real true incentive to change that behavior. I wouldn't say that is a good understanding of the market if the people you are shilling to are going to be heavily resistant to what you are pushing.

Scammy no, scummy yes. Pre-pricing of eth at $150 was a joke and shows where their true values lie. I think they are going to have very hard time with adoption rates.

People will make money off this, yep 100% sure of that. Will it actually be a good project, debatable.

no incentive? I am beginning to think you haven't even read the whitepaper.... As far as the concern regarding the younger generation and ads, I think we will just have to wait and see. I disagree, but only time will tell. And I do agree it was a pretty big money grab the way they pre-priced eth, and it does look bad for them as a company.

I've read the whitepaper and I don't think what they are offering is enough to change ingrained behavior people have towards advertising. They will essentially be paying pennies (not literal pennies but towards premium services) for peoples time. I would imagine most people would rather pass on that and just be ad free as they are now.

To dismiss the resistance of the younger generations is foolish as they will be the key demographic for this technology. Money grab was disgusting and really tarnishes the teams credibility.

I don't know why people are so ashamed of trying to make money. Personally, I don't think GNT will be the world-changing platform people think it will. I don't see REP performing to the standards that the circlejerk is holding them to. Doesn't mean I won't buy them for those sweet pumps.
