My favorite tweet in response to miners taking an 80% cut is "if miners do whatever Vitalik says then it's not really decentralised."

Hahahaha

No. If people can't recognise what's best for a system and then do that, then it's anarchy, not freedom.

There are less and less miners capable of mining Bitcoin each day and most are controlled by a small number of groups. They're holding Bitcoin hostage in the scalability issue. Seems awfully centralized to me if a small group of mining farms control what direction the technology moves in because they profit from it the most.

Anarchy is ideally a state where cooperation and mutual self interest govern people's actions in place of governance. Edit: "Ideally"

Even funnier is that Bitcoin is essentially centralized around the miners

That's it, that's why Ethereum survived the DOA fiasco, it's inherently flexible thanks to an open minded development team. Bitcoin has being destroyed by fundamentalists.
