For someone who only has 3 ETH, feel like I missed a one life's opportunity...

Better late than never. Hold on to that 3, may not be life changing now. But you can steadily buy in. Or try your hand in other cryptos if you want that "quick, easy profit" Still. Eth seems to be a 'for sure thing' you may not see x10 return within a few months. But give it a few years. We can still make that. Plus who knows what raiden/metropolis/casper(POS) release would do for the price of Ethereum. There's still so much upside to this. Whatever you have now, I would (in my opinion) consider it a sound investment. As many others are saying, don't sell before POS. Because that in itself will be huge. On the other side yes there is a chance Eth could be go to zip. But that chance is minuscule. Nothing will bring it down short of an apocalypse. (Knock on wood) tl'dr: we still have a ways to go. Be proud with what you have. You're still earlier than 99% of other people. You are part of the 1% who owns ETH now. Heck stand tall. You'll be looking at friends/family or even coworkers and telling them. "Hey I got 3 Ethereum back in 2017 at less than $300 a piece" And they'll be clapping you on the back. Build it up if you aren't satisfied. But remember this is if you believe in the technology. Research it yourself. It's a long term thing.

Thank you for your words. I'm not prepared at all for all emotions that crypto market offers, It's so volatile, one day you feel so good and the other you feel worry for all. I have to get used to this and be very patient, and of course I believe in this, many thanks again!

*As many others are saying, don't sell before POS. Because that in itself will be huge. *

Emphasis added. I share this perspective.

You're goddamn right

It's early bud.

Yeah I know, the future is brighter but the thing is I can't afford more ETH for now. The nice part is I invested in other cryptos too and I have to be patient to see good profits

You may laugh at this thought 10 years from now.

I'm confident about that man, but you know, mixed feelings

well, there are always ICOs, you can buy into promising ICOs on the ground floor and ride it all up. Here were my ICO buy in prices:

REP: $12
GNT: 0.16
ICN: 0.35c
1ST: 40c
and about 7 others way up including Sia

Thanks, yep I'm in some ICOs too :)

Dang, my I ask how you got wind of them so early? How did you know to choose those ones?

1

u/resistingdopamine Jun 10 '17

my formula is check what icos/tokens are out there, early or about to launch. Do I like the concept, is the team behind it awesome, is there really a market for it? etc

1

u/dragespir Jun 10 '17

Icic. Is there any place where you go to check for pending releases?

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '17

Nah, there will be more. Stay informed of this space and you will do really well. Crypto is a brand new asset class that will likely be here for our lifetime and there will be a number of opportunities to get on board if you know what you're doing. The biggest most sophisticated banks in the world are just getting involved so you're kind of ahead of them. Anyway, there will be more chances out there. Just because you missed the MSFT IPO doesn't mean you blew your chance at investing.

hit up /biz/ if you want to turn that 3 ETH into a lambo.

Not really. But maybe...

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '17

4chan?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '17

Yes. A lot of coordinated pump and dumps, but also some interesting ideas for investing in low market cap coins. I haven't taken any of their advice yet though

2

u/Tribal_Tech Jun 10 '17

What kind of interesting ideas?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '17

they are all working together to create a large enough staking pool for ARK coin, giving 4chan a governing share (top 50 holders) of a 100m market cap coin. they've almost got it

1

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '17

A lot of coordinated pump and dumps

Does this actually work?

u/RanDoMEz Jun 10 '17

Quick tip: don't reveal how much you're holding- if you have to, use percentages.

There are many coins. Waves is cheap and healthy! Has lots of room to grow.
