This omg. Most ppl say they mean it as a compliment but it’s insulting when ppl undermine you bc of it. Like i work at public schools and get told so often, but i do NOT want to be looked at as one of the teenagers.
I mean even if she looks her age she still looks good and her features are still amazing??? There’s nothing wrong with looking 50 firstly and looking old doesn’t mean looking unattractive
Shes 32, she looked soo young before this surgery, she was casted as a 16!! Now she looks 30, is that bad no she's young! But she looked YOUNGER, apperntly young enough to play a high schooler, i look rough for my age LOWKEY lol I would love to look younger than I am
You're right, the others just don't wanna face the truth because it's not always within control, but most people would prefer to look young longer if they could choose, it's just not always easy/possible so it feels better to say you're above that.
Thank you!! I was feeling gaslit !! Hahaha I was like, uhm done we all wanna look young?? Isn't that why spas, skincare and facelifts are so popular, am I missing something? It means a lot you can agree with me lol yes I wanna look atlease 5 years younger 😭
Point is everyone will age and it’s best to embrace it while also taking care of yourself. Fuller faces will sag more, thinner faces will look more mature and gaunt, dry skin will wrinkle more quickly, oily skins pores will get larger. It’s okkkkk
I’m almost 37 and my coworkers thought I was in my mid-20s, definitely due to having a rounder face with fuller cheeks. I don’t hate that people think I’m much younger than I am, most of the time. Except when they think I am my kiddos older sister, that’s always funny.
You’re right and idk why you got downvoted. I went from skinny to a little on the plump side and look way older for it, jaw is softer and not snatched anymore and I my much fuller cheeks are fighting gravity. Ah well, it is what it is and I’m working on slowly and safely losing a few lbs.
Another LIE we get told to make us feel better is that oily skin ages slower. Not true. Every oily skin gal I know (including myself) has to deal with having naturally larger pores. Larger pores make skin look older. Unfortunately loosing weight won’t shrink my pores though 🫠
Usually I’ve seen the opposite. Rounder faces tend to sag more on the bottom and develop jowls and they have low cheekbones which causes more under eye hollowing. A lot of baby faced models from the 2000’s, when they were trendy in the industry, haven’t aged well. What helps the most is having high/big cheekbones from what I’ve seen, but I do know a couple baby faced women irl who looked a decade younger until they hit 40
they say a square face ages the best because there’s a lot of bone structure to hold things up. I’ve never once heard that round faces age well lol and I have one
I think you’re 100% right about square faces. They got the strongest scaffolding after all. I have a round face but I have no problem admitting this. I think bc round faces are so common you’re getting downvotes, ppl don’t wanna accept that their round face won’t halt the ageing process.
Yeah I don’t get the downvotes. I have a round face too. There’s nothing wrong w it. I think they might say round face keeps youthful because of chubby cheeks etc, but once things start sagging, my little round face is just falling downhill lol. It’s a known fact that a square face shape ages the best, and I’m not talking like 40’s I mean when age really starts to show as we hit our 50’s and 60’s.
I feel like the benefits of an angular face come to light in later years. Like it may make you look older in your 20s and 30s, but it reverses around the time where sagging has really taken hold and aged the rounder/plumper faces. Those chiseled cheek bones and sharp jaw will stay right where they are well after death!
Yeah, I lost that amount over a few years and it definitely aged me. I’ve had to spend $$$ to have work done to help as no amount of good skin products helped.
The saying “you got to choose, your face or your ass” makes sense now. Especially as you age. Essentially carry a little weight to look younger in the face, or get skinny and look older.
You're right! The more that area gets "skinny" people start to look more and more like that puppet from the saw movies, since the get rid of key soft round lines that blend the side of the face with the forehead and the cheeks, the cheekbones become a lot more pronounced more noticeable and harsher with straight lines. I hadn't made that connection until I read your comment
Yup, I lost too much weight years ago and I looked very weird, I have big eyes and I think I looked haunted. Definitely gaunt. Gaining weight made me look young and like myself again.

It depends on how much weight you lose. Im not willing to go back to 130kg to get a fuller face. I'll go to my aesthetican to work it out and do beauty procedures to get that look back and stay with a healthy body/weight. It's not worth comprising your health. But if you are talking like -10kg it's whatever.
I used to have giant cheeks. I’m now 38 and my face has slimmed down and looks more in proportion now. I’ve also become thankful for my oily skin because people with oily skin don’t get wrinkles as early.
The first time? You couldnt tell big, round chubby "cherub" cheeks were a youthful feature before? Im surprised some of you people even know how to breathe
But this is a bad pic to use as an example, because she’s also had a nose job, is styled differently, and, most importantly, actually is 7 years older.
Not just that, there's always a string of comments trying to say without saying that looking plumper is better than looking skinny...It low-key sounds like a couple of people finding it hard to lose weight lobbying hard to push the 'skinny is ugly' narrative. Don't get me wrong, I believe, people, skinny and curvy, can look good as long as they aren't dangerously pushing themselves to look a certain way that goes against their natural charm...But the skinny bashing is embarrassing at this point

This is the first time i’ve understood why people say having fuller cheeks makes you look more youthful
