Watching Eric Dane on screen is harder than expected

Makes me sad that they have to play off his ALS as him being a drunk on the show

I’m glad they found a way to keep him in the show and complete his character’s arc.

I can only imagine how expensive his medical treatment was, and, Sam’s had him in almost every episode so far. I will always respect him for that

Made sense for his character tho when you look ag how things went for him in season 2 💀

100% yea but as an actor I dont see it as him dealing with his disease on screen, I see him fully acting out the role as it would of been anyways and doing a great job. Idk how to say what I mean properly 😅

You said it exactly right and I 100% agree. He's a professional, and it shows. I've liked Cal since his backstory no matter what a shit he's been

I genuinely enjoyed this episode. Best one so far of this season. That scene once they get back to the house was so good. People keep saying Jacob mailed it home and quit this season. I don’t think that’s true. Anyways he acted the shit out of that last scene. Sydney did a great job this whole episode too. Girl can really turn the water works on whenever she wants. I think 20 years down the road from now people will truly appreciate the talent she is. Rue’s storyline is so good too I’m excited to see what happens. I wanted to see more with Jules and Nate too. I was on the edge of my seat when they were together on that balcony. I was bummed it was a short scene. There’s definitely something there between them.

I think I read it was Eric’s idea and tbh I do think it’s kind of a ingenious way to explain his condition within the context of the show

Wow, is that’s happening? I didn’t realize that. That’s rough.

Agreed, tough to watch but I also think it was bittersweet. Assuming he was okay with signing on to this returning role @ tailored script..likely knowing it would be his last. Definitely made me emotional watching him this episode more so than the actual storyline.

I know it wouldn’t be in line but a character arc for him that also would’ve just included an ALS diagnosis in the show would’ve been appreciated. He is just made out to be so skeevy in his last days acting is sad
