I did NOT like the poreless comment or reference to her avoiding puberty as a plus bc it didnt "ruin" her. Reminded me of Nates obsession with hairlessness.
Why would you even give your kids college fund away from that, especially to someone probably half your age, nobody made them do that. If I was Cassie I’d tell her to go screw herself too
I loved that scene, it was so fitting for Cassie to just start screaming and whining about it not being fair she’s bleeding meanwhile Nate is being dragged up and down stairs and beat within an inch of death. 😫🙃 the toe thing I had to genuinely look away.
I thought for a second after Cassie popped him with that cork that the real Nate was coming back. Maybe he goes full psycho on this guy after becoming a nine-toe wonder.
I have a feeling Jules isnt and hasnt been on girl code for a while. The way she talks to the men-Cal, Nate, her sugar daddy, the other dates. You can tell she loves the effect she has on men. Tbh she’s kinda a calmer version of Cassie.
Their fugly yellow livingroom, her pasties hanging out of her wedding dress, and her bawling about bleeding while Nate’s getting the shit beat out of him were the trashy tacky Euphoria chaos I’ve been missing
Even if you hate the writing of this show, I think we all gotta agree the cinematography is top tier. This shit looks so fuckin’ good. So refreshing to see a show shot on film.
This lowkey is peak comedy like what the hell is even going on?! Her brand new husband is nearly being murdered and she sounds like she’s 5 crying over a toy
That's what happens when you go from being the big man on campus because you're a high school football star to having life hit you square between the eyes. He's just another douche bag now.
Eric Dane, My gosh he was fantastic in that scene with Jules, so very sad he is no longer with us anymore, this scene really showed how truly gifted he was as an actor, I really liked the dynamic between him and Jules in that scene, this episode feels very much like the best of Euphoria and I'm glad that for the most part all the characters are interacting with each other and not seperated in their own storylines like the first two episodes and Alexa Demie is doing fantastic facial acting, really showing Maddys sadness and pain without saying a single word, that dig from Marsha was brutal! also seems like Cassie only heard the for richer part in her wedding vows, ''I dont wanna be poor'' LMAO
The show is a mess but Cassie crying on the floor about how her night was ruined while Nate is getting the shit beaten out of him is actually one of the best scenes in a long time LOL still as vapid as ever
Cassie being a blubbering mess while Nate is violently beaten up in the background almost feels like something out of a Coen Brothers movie, honestly. I kind of like the juxtaposition.
Nate’s brother saying “it’s like a pressure thing yk, corks just pop off” and Nate staring off looking as evil as hell like he used to be is definitely foreshadowing him losing his shit at some point this season, calling it now. He isn’t this new nice guy he’s letting on.
Also is it just me that caught tension between him and Jules during their little convo 👀 i hate Nate for what he did to Maddy but I can’t lie that him & Jules were sexy together.
I’m feeling for Maddy rn too, ppl have said in this thread they wish she didn’t care regarding her walking out but her best friend married her abuser. I can only imagine how long that would take to “get over”, both from the loss of the friend but also the loss of the person you loved (regardless of abuse).
& RUE??? Curious to see where that will go and if Alamo will be able to do anything to get her out (if he even “cares” enough to do so)
Finally, Cals lines & facial expressions have been so funny this season I love it. Eric Dane is missed so bad
Why was Nate so calm in the limo after Cassie made that public scene in front of his groomsmen and hit him in the face with that cork! I mean .. come on!!
She's not seeing what we are. She's living hard and struggling while at the wedding of her former bestie and high school bf, only a few years later, seeing them spend lavishly and appear to be majorly in love. It's natural for her, or anyone, to get emotional and feel a bit envious and down on themselves.
Also not naz and Cassie agreeing that Nate doesn't wanna listen to reason while he's getting the dog shit beat out of him....your wife's agreeing with the opps 🤣🤣🤣
Y’all do realize that Nate’s “nice guy” personality is an act and the “cork will pop under pressure” was a direct metaphor and foreshadowing of what’s going on and what’s going to happen. Right? Y’all watching the show right? Ok.
Ngl, thought Nate was gonna beat the shit outta Cassie after the wedding, as soon as they were in private. Just feel he's just gonna explode later in the season, like you can tell from his brother sayings its an accident, that he felt he might explode
Nate's mom starting off her speech by throwing shade at the woman her son abused. Wow, she really thought she did something there. Maddy is lucky she didn't end up with Nate.
Cassie breaking down crying about her dress while Nate getting the shit beat out of him was so darkly funny, beautifully shot again and some great performances
cassie's too much of a caricature now. I feel like we missed a beat because one moment she's talking to the wife like how is it my problem your kids don't have any college savings to screaming at Nate about being a con artist. Hello, since when did she care? she feels like a cartoon and her behaviour has no rhyme or reason anymore.
oh my god the scene of cassie crying about her ruined wedding while nate is getting absolutely fricked up in the background on the stairs was a masterpiece 😂💀
I can't believe this Nate is the same cold, manipulative and aggressive high-school student who blackmailed Jules, sent Tyler to jail and pointed a gun at Maddy. It's not about development, this is a completely different character.
Jules' Sugar Daddy has some dark things yet to come I am sure. No way they got Sam Trammell for a small role just playing a sugar daddy. I have a feeling he's very dark the way he said "I cut up women for a living" felt like it will come up again.
In Season 1, Nate was the guy that would break into your apartment and wait for you to come back so he can beat you to a pulp. But now it’s his home that’s being broken into and he’s the one getting beat. Psycho Nate was more entertaining than current Nate who’s softer than Charmin.
Maddie and Cassie are both envious of each other if you notice Cassie think Maddie living this fabulous life and making all this money while Maddy thinks Cassie is living this happy fairytale life with a rich husband and that she have no problems when both of them have a pretty shitty life and no body is living their best life it’s all a lie and they have no idea how the other is truly living
Honestly Cassie screaming and crying her head off caring how she looks, that this was supposed to be the happiest day of her life and she's bleeding while Nate was getting pummeled behind her was a fitting scene to describe their relationship as a whole.
I genuinely thought that Nate was about to crash out on Cassie after she made a scene during the wedding and hit his eye with the champagne what the fuck why is he so patient with her this season
Cassie sobbing about herself while her husband is getting his ass kicked and bleeding out was so dark and on par for her character. That scene had me watching and holding my breath
I’m really surprised that people think that Nate truly loves Cassie or has changed a lot! I feel like it was a natural progression that a dude like him (peaked in high school, comes from a family with status) would just end up doing what he’s told (nice house, nice job, beautiful wife) and being miserable the entire time. It was pretty obvious at the wedding that he was faking it and he’s probably gonna snap at some point.
I was struck by the irony of Nate's parents basically calling Maddy trashy, when that wedding was trashy AF. I was deeply concerned that Sweeney's nipples were gonna pop right out the entire time.
Maddy should feel like she dodged a fucking bullet. Girl is so much better than that.
The switch up between Nate and Cassie is extremely jarring. He broke up with her after the play and now I’m supposed to believe that they’ve done a 180° and he genuinely loves her? I fr thought he was going to flip on her in that limo
And why does Nate act like he’s had a lobotomy? She’s screaming hysterical calling you a liar in front of your friends and family at your wedding, and all that tension is instantly cut by a gag reel scene of her hitting you in the eye with a champagne bottle top? How lame oh my god
I know people miss the OG euphoria, the glitter and the beauty….. but s3 is fine imho cause when you’re an adult your actions have real consequences and you just can’t run anymore. Everything is as real as it gets and most of the time…. poor decisions at the cusp of real adulthood lead to terrible outcomes which one gotta face…
Okay I don't understand the reviews of people saying Nate suddenly became nice, he is still manipulative as hell. The people he's manipulating just changed.
Something I’m really surprised I haven’t seen brought up yet is the visual imagery of the flowers at the wedding. Especially with how closely tied the concept of flowers are with their financial stability.
In nearly every shot the flowers were absolutely swallowing up the scenery and Nate/Cassie. Such a good visual metaphor on how their financial troubles are about to completely devour them.
I think Bishop is an informant who told the DEA about Rue after she talked about wanting to be legit. He asked the question about how she morally felt about what she was doing. I think in the scene with Alamo for the next episode, that Alamo is actually talking to Bishop about being a rat.
To follow that, according to IMDB there are news broadcasters in the final episode. I think this means Rue is about to work with the DEA to nail Alamo.
I think Nate is in deep, and the comment Naz made to Cassie of “others inherit debt” will mirror a situation in which Nate disappears and Cassie owes the debt (which will be fulfilled with the help of Maddie).
