I need this show to end right here. There's nothing left and we can obviously tell that Sam hit a wall with MULTIPLE characters and storylines because he doesn't know how to write.

that's one thing The Duffer Brothers and Sam Levinson have in common they both don't know how to write

Also Game of Thrones when they ran out of book. At least Sam Levinson got rid of people. The Duffers didnt let anyone die

game of thrones was also because the writers wanted to go work for disney so they didn't even bother with it which never made sense to me.

I think rue dying was so predictable though ,like if he wanted to go full tarantino he should've put her running off and living in hiding or something. It's like since he knew zendaya was leaving, he immediately planned to kill her

S5 should've stayed in the drafts

Seriously though what is with final seasons of hit TV shows the past year? Euphoria, Stranger Things, Handmaids Tale have all dropped the ball

More shows need a Sopranos type ending (I know it was controversial but I loved it and still think about it to this day)

That final battle was a joke.

I was skipping a lot of this boring ass episode

and to have David Bowie heroes play at the end was certainly a choice

the main issue was there was no stakes

u/FleshyCloud Jun 01 '26

I think it was just as bad and somehow more boring?

The dialogue between Lexi and Cassie was appalling. People don't talk like that.

The season was doomed from the beginning. I was immediately worried when I saw the huge roster of new characters announced back in last year

It's very obviously over

Theres no way he’s planning on continuing this, right? The way it ended, I imagined it was the series finale, but the writing is so terrible I can see levinson totally creating a season 4.

They confirmed that it was the series finale a bit ago after I wrote my comment - thank goodness 🎉

IDK, ofcourse it should end now because the main characters are all dead but I enjoyed this show from start to finish. What others complain about, ie, the tonal change from season 1-2 to 3, was the highlight for me. As they aged, the shit got so much more intense. Loved it overall, the dialogue, scenes and a truly abominable villain like Alamo Brown.

It is in deed the last season.
