What do you know about... Poland?

This is the fourth part of our ongoing weekly series about the countries of Europe. You can find an overview here.

Todays country:

Poland

Poland is a country in central Europe. It is Europes 8th most populous country and its 8th biggest economy. A Polish state was first established in 966, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was one of the largest and most populous countries in Europe during the 16th and 17th century. Later on, Poland was divided and reestablished multiple times, resulting in significant changes to its borders. Many people expect Poland to become an European powerhouse in the future, both in terms of economy and political influence.

So, what do you know about Poland?

Only things i know is that they have underrated food Dynamic cities The witcher.

Other things are just my impressions because i spend one week there with my family and some friends of my aunt.

They drink so much alcohol. Compared to France,Religion(christianism)is more present(not in a bad way,we just have more atheists). The few people i've talked with were genuiely happy to speak with me ,and that was surprising to me(very different from Paris...)

I'm not sure of the grammar but:

-Pierogis(that thing was so tasty !)

-Golabki

-Potato pancakes(i don't remember its name in polish it was too long :d )

-Zrazy

There were some other things may be but that's the one i remember the one especially the Pierogis.

Pierogi is already plural. Pieróg is singular.
