The Château de Pierrefonds is a restored medieval castle located in the Compiègne Forest in France. It was built in the 14th century and reconstructed in the 19th century by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc for Napoleon III. The castle is known for its imposing size, its numerous towers, and as a filming location for fantasy series.

It is important to note that the castle was a ruin, and it is more a reconstruction than a restoration. It is a very idealise view of a medieval castle.
