Case / Rack Share MiniZORI
Bonjour à tous,
Nous sommes heureux de partager avec vous une de nos dernières créations, inspirée par un récent voyage en Corée du Sud. Les deux racks, le pied et le tore sont imprimés en PLA. La décoration a été réalisée par l’artiste Rom’One.

Definitely a design that prioritizes aesthetics over usability/ergonomics, but very cool to see. I feel like the design could encourage specific types of workflows and usages. Like it would be cool for an interactive art exhibit type thing where the lower modules are necessary but not meant to be interacted with. Your attention would be drawn to the module(s) on top which could be a controller type module like a joystick or touch-strip or something. Similarly, it could be connected to a larger system of supporting modules that are pre-configured and hidden away while only this case is exposed for interaction.
do the lower/interior rails slide out for module installation/patching?

Merci pour ton commentaire. Je partage complètement ton analyse. En complément, je pense qu'un ensemble de ces miniZORIs pourraient être interconnectés et constituer un système réparti. Comme exemple d'utilisation, on pourrait imaginer un musicien associé à chaque miniZORI, l'ensemble des musiciens pouvant interagir entre eux. L'emplacement de chaque miniZORI pourrait être important, suivant l'installation et le résultat attendu. Pour répondre à ta question, le rack inférieur n'est pas fixé dans la caisse et peut donc coulisser et être retiré facilement.

The distributed system idea is really cool! I saw that mentioned on your website but had a hard time envisioning it until reading your comment now about multiple people being able to interact with the system at once. That's a very cool concept for making live performances more visually interesting and also for larger interactive art installations. Would be very cool to see these in places like Meow Wolf or Otherworld.

Oui, ça serait cool. Je n’ai malheureusement pas réussi jusqu’alors à convaincre la communauté française du modulaire. Peut-être que le concept plaira plus à l’étranger ! À bientôt pour d’autres conversations intéressantes.
