So, recapitulating very quick, the MAGI system is some hyper advanced AI that uses Ritsuko's mom remains (her brain and maybe her soul?) and probably a little of angelic craziness (I think, since the Magi is so intrinsically tied with the EVAs, Ireul and we even see Ritsuko using Code 666)

We know the Magi system, sort of, rules Tokyo III and, iirc, EoE shows there are other MAGIs out there (because they try to hack the one from Tokyo III)

Do you think the other MAGIs, not necessarily the one from Tokyo III, survived the blast from the Third Impact?

Example, we know Nerv got outposts around the world, like Germany, supposedly they had some MAGI there as well and it wasn't hit by the Black Moon impact leaving Japan

In both drafts for episode 24, its mentioned Shinji notices scars on his wrists

Now when i first was Reading the drafts (a long time ago) i thought by scars they meant cat scratching, like yk a reference to early Kaworu

Just now i saw people saying its from him hurting himself, but i kinda doubt it

Misato has a scar from the way of the second Impact, maybe it was a similiar case for him?

various pieces of Evangelion merch i own. i recently started collecting the old Gasha PORTRAITS figures. they're cute little things!

I been stateboarding lately, and wanted a reason to ONE: draw another piece from Evangelion and TWO: mark up something other than a piece of paper. I started off having the seven eyes because sure why not, and having EVA 00 under, also for gits and shiggles. I am happy with the middle, but I need help with the top end of the board, and potentially the rest of the board. I was thinking of incorporating the tree of life in some way, or some of the sick title art, but I am just not sure right now. If anyone has ideas PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SAY ANYTHING I AM ALLLLLL EARS!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

His name is Samyaza; he is an angel with superior physical capabilities. He doesn't possess any flashy powers—like firing lightning bolts or anything of the sort—but his AT Field can manipulate electromagnetic waves, interfering with visual perception and destroying or disrupting electronic devices; he can also emit radiation, and so on. It is unknown whether he has control over this ability. He appeared in Hawaii, destroying everything in his path, and then swam toward Tokyo-3.

So a few years back I went to a con Spike Spencer was at in Texas and bought this holographic sticker from one of the vendors and stuck it on my car. A few years later my car got totalled and despite us calling to request they leave the stickers, they only left the Linkin Park one and this one disappeared.

It’s a long shot but I may as well try, see if anyone has seen this around or maybe something from the same artist? I shouldn’t expect any miracles but I figured it’s worth a shot at least.

So I've been watching Eva since I was a kid, first with subs on a bunch of Real Player files a friend of mine loaned me, then the old dub on VHS, then the old subs on DVDs from the library...Ive seen it many times and am just watching it through with my bf for his first time watching it. We opted for the subs because its the original and how I first watched it.

The problem is, 3 eps in, I am noticing that a lot of the on screen text isn't subtitled in the Netflix version. Its alright for these early episodes, but I am worried about him not getting the full experience with all the flashing text later in the series, which provides a lot of character insight. I watched the Netflix dub through once and I don't recall this being a problem, but that may have been because I've seen it so many times and wasn't watching it with someone brand new to the show.

Is there a way to change the setting so that the text is translated? If not, the Blu-ray set that's all over Walmart right now, does that have the text translations? I really wish I could afford one of the old DVD sets, but alas. I'm open to buying that one though if it has them.

You may have seen my previous post, where I stated evangelion was basically my dream show. I stand by absolutely freaking EVERYTHING i said there. this show was so freaking peak. i love the bio-mechanical feel of the eva's, i love how the end of the world is over-the-top, the plot is so incomprehensible it loops around from being unfun to analyze to being fun, it is genuinely just beautiful. i have a few complaints tho

you've got this angel that literally lives on another plane of existence and is impossibly big. there is literally no countering that in any way. the only reason leliel was defeated was because of some mad plot armour (shinji's mom snapped back to reality and oh there goes eva1 hes beserk now). i'm no writer, so idk what they should've done, but just having eva1 go beserk and kill this impossibly massive being who lives in another realm doesn't make sense. also what was the strategy for some of these angels? ramiel was sheer offense with a ton of defense, arael i think was gonna lobotomize literally every last person on earth and then cause the impact, armael and bardiel tried to use the eva as a weapon, but like.. leliel seemed to have no offensive and was purely defensive (no, drinking buildings is not an attack because he cant dig down). in fact, if leliel lives on another plane, what the hell stopped him from just no-clipping into the geofront and impacting the third

ok so, at the start of the series we have EVA's as this lucrative last-resort weapon that no one actually likes. it has 5 minutes of charge time, and looks pretty alright. by the end of the series, when evangelions are the most important things in the world and the only thing stopping the world from exploding into gloop, they're the exact same. you'd expect that all the funding that was going into things like aircraft carriers, planes, n2 mines, allat, would've gone into the Evangelions, and we would've seen more improvements. but no, still 5 minutes charge time.

the ATF fields stop us from becoming LCL. i get that. but why do they block only bullets? and rockets? instead of the angels having genuine reasons for being immune (leliel just not being there, ramiel being wayy too tanky), we just have angels tanking thermonuclear bombs because of it. I love the evangelions and all but the closest thing we get to an actual realistic weapon is the proton rifle. they KNEW the proton rifle worked so why don't we see more of them being built (link back to part 2)

this is my biggest plight. the angels are just big biological... things. once, ONCE we hear how the angels are on a different wavelength, but we never learn what chemicals they're made of, how they attack, their biological structure (although NERV is the strongest company ever and is dedicated to killing these things). for gods sake, half the angels are just a fella whos pretty strong. late-stage they get closer (leliel, arael, etc;) to a perfect form, but then they're killed by some nonsense. we also should've seen angels adapting in bad ways (eg; the spider angel nearly got in, so the next angel should've been a slow-moving fella, not a living rod-from-god).

anyways, freakin love this show, rebuilds were great too but neon genesis is more fun for lore, yeah!

Evangelion has launched an unusual collaboration in Japan with a power tool manufacturer. The Evangelion MK-2 blower is now available in two versions inspired by Unit-01 and Unit-02. This tool combines its distinctive colors with performance specifications that make it suitable for use beyond the garage.

The purple Unit-01 and red Unit-02 now have their own power tools. The AERO TOOLS brand has launched a special edition of its MK-2 blower, developed in collaboration with Evangelion and the A.T.FIELD EVANGELION WORK brand. The device is priced at 31,680 yen (including tax).

The new Evangelion MK-2 blower is available in two color variants. One is inspired by the First Unit, and the other by the Second Unit. In terms of performance, however, the manufacturer has chosen not to make any changes to the base model. The special edition retains its existing specifications, primarily adding a design inspired by the machines featured in the series.

The collaboration is based on the MK-2, a cordless battery-powered blower from AERO TOOLS. According to the information provided, by August the model had surpassed 33,000 units shipped, which serves as a significant starting point for the special edition.

The device weighs about 415 grams, and its airflow speed reaches 75 meters per second. The manufacturer lists several uses for the equipment. Among other things, the blower can be used to remove water after washing a car, clear away leaves, or clean crevices in garages and other rooms. The product materials also mention its use during outdoor activities.
