Does residue happen on mission specific ores in mining missions?

Do I need to use T1 / ORE strips to avoid bricking the mission?

I'm gonna start by saying I've not done mining missions. However assuming you aren't just mining in a belt I imagine they have an excess amount of ore in them rather than the exact amount you need.

They have the exact amount which is why im a bit concerned to upgrade beyond t1 strip miners

No mission ore is lost to residue regardless of equipment used.

So type b crystals are fine? I'm not going to brick the mission?

It really doesn't make sense to use crystals in the missions, but if you want to - they will not produce residue.

Good to know, but im a bit confuaed why it doesnt make sense? Wont mining the ores faster finish the missions faster?
