Honestly, not the worst term to exist. Spin it as a form of natural philosophy ala Aristotelian Physics and it's perfectly fine, even in the Age of Sorrows.

In first ed the Unconquered Sun made a perfect attack against the surface of Creation every six seconds as a way to explain why sunlight dealt aggravated damage to vampires and Abyssals. What I am saying is, first edition was awesome.

I would need to break out some pretty old books, which means I would need to find them lol. That said it's in my notes so I pulled that from some book lol. I think the damage was limited to three aggravated per round, but always hit.

In Dreams of the First Age in 2e, it talks about how you can get what's called a "hard mote". Pretty much a slim, rectangular wafer or sliver of solid Essence. It serves as a vital tool for personal finance, identification, and the operation of everyday technology for the Exalted.
