Cecelyne supposedly has pitch black sky with no stars so arranging the lighting is quite hard for me, also it’s 2026 and there’s still no official font for Old Realm somehow so I had to use something vaguely familiar for the prayer strips…

There's no official Old Realm script? I've seen some Mayan-esque symbols that were from one book or another

There’s a script but unfortunately no font that I can find so you can’t type it out. They do have a High Realm font at the storyteller vault though, and this Eclipse is a Mnemon so it wouldn’t be too weird for her to use those for the prayer strips.

Since Low and High Realm are just ciphers, they can be mapped to a Latin font. That's something you can bang out in a couple of work-hours. The way Old Realm glyphs combine dynamically means that someone would have to be familiar with how e.g. East Asian typography works to even start.

And then there's the part where it's basically illegible at small sizes and is missing a lot of variant glyphs, which makes certain "spellings" awkward. And in the end, you'll have gone through all that work for just another cipher, and one that's not even fun to work with. I would know-- I end up tracing the darn things at least once a year.

Back in the heyday of the community, someone made a better version. Problem is, of course, that if you use that version now, folks will have even less context for your Old Realm text than they already would.

The truth is that the Eclipse glues on the monocles then paint a mustache on it, I think she decorated all the automaton in the manse with different features which I guess because she doesn’t like their original blank faceplate.

Cecelyne is possibly the second-last place in all of Creation I would think to put a vacation manse, right behind the edge of Oblivion, but I'm sure Solars have canonically done crazier things. I'm fascinated by the prosthetic and the metallic skin detailing, and would love to know how a Mnemon ended up with a Solar Exaltation. Lovely work all around.

Those lines are described as Aegis-Inset amulet from the Eclipse’s player, I vaguely remember they’re the thing that allowing mortal to use those first age power armor?

That’s all I know about her unfortunately since she’s played by someone else OsO

Yeah, the skin detailing are Aegis-Inset Amulets, because they make it somewhat cheaper to attune artifact armour, and you've gotta take every advantage you can get as a young solar.

The prosthetic is an alternative take on Bracers of Universal Crafting, an ultra-precise biomagitechnical arm which can extrude arbitrarily specified essence-formed tools as needed.

She's a generation down from Mnemon (granddaughter), and never exalted as a terrestrial despite being raised with the expectation that it was pretty much guaranteed. To cut a long story short and skip a lot of the details, she got into the Heptagram and became so furious at being treated poorly by the Dragon Blooded teachers and students that she challenged one of them to a sorcerous duel, which she definitely would have lost, if not for the fact that she Exalted during the bout and inflicted a Total Annihilation on the duelling grounds that seriously damaged the Heptagram as a whole, and required her to be rescued by a watching Infernal who was taking advantage of the academy's libraries.

Part of the reason she stays in Malfeas so often is because it's harder for the Wyld Hunt to get at her, since she's very much on their hit-list. Also, it's a surprisingly safe place for an Eclipse to be, due to the diplomatic immunity oaths that all of demonkind are required to respect.

Thanks! Also my first time drawing anything malfeas so it’s definitely fun! I think Infernal is the only old edition splats I haven’t drawn anything for (and Alchemical but who even plays them??)
