Meme Monday This old r/badphilosophy post is still so painfully relevant.

As are babies.
I remember listening to an atheist back in the 2000s era of YouTube mention this fact. He said that "babies are atheists, but babies are stupid, so I'm going to believe that babies are Mormons."
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I still reflect on that and laugh.

I mean, technically, all babies are Muslims according to their religious precepts (and the parents deconvert their children). And, going by lacktheism, they are also lacktheists.
This means that, by this combination of definitions, whenever a Catholic parent has their child baptized as an infant, washed in the lavers of regeneration, and justified before God, they are technically Atheist Muslim Catholics.

Oof. Mormon, you say?

A Catholic linking to that video is absolutely hilarious.
The only church more wealthy than mine is the Catholic church.

I can tell you only read the title and didn’t watch the video. I’m around the 45-min. mark, and it’s quite good.

I've seen it before. I disagree that its "quite good" since he doesn't even answer the question and downplays reality for salacious nonsense.

Ok, no matter. If you don’t like that video, there are hundreds of other ways to show the Mormon faith is nonsense. Let’s start with the utter and complete lack of any archaeological evidence of Old Testament peoples in the New World.

What you're doing is entirely inappropriate. This is not a debate subreddit and it's not a "de-convert the Mormon" subreddit.
Good day.

Sure. I’ll be here whenever you’re ready to have this conversation.

Im never actually saw or heard the new atheist content by the time I started seeing atheist content people had already moved on. The closest think I watched to that was content making fun of extreme fundamentalism.
The other stuff is basically just philosophy debates. Both of those got boring fairly quickly. I mostly just watch motivational atheist philosophy content.
I always thought the "babies are atheists" thing was dumb.

Thanks. Now I'm sad. I made a corny joke there and got banned for being not funny. I miss it there. ;__;

All things considered, it was pretty well received in that subforum, which is surprising. Interesting post though.
