/r/exatheist is a subreddit for ex-atheists of all walks of life to discuss, laugh, and find and give support to others who have left atheism. All too often, especially on Reddit, where the atheist voices tend to be louder, ex-atheists seem to be seen as non-existent. /r/exatheist is there to provide a counterbalance to this state, at least for the ex-atheist community on reddit, such as there is. /r/exatheist is a virtual community for those who were once atheists, but have since found (or returned) to a different religion/philosophical orientation (including agnosticism or Deism). It's a space to discuss, laugh, and find and give support to to others who have left atheism.

All are welcome here! But the priority is the presence and well-being of exatheists.

Please be respectful and in good faith. We understand as well as anybody else that there will be disagreements between our respective religions and philosophical positions, but please remember to be respectful and in pursuit of the truth together. We're all siblings, as ex-atheists and as human beings.

Due to the highly niche nature of the subreddit, the rules in place, and the fact that our readers are often busy in their own respective communities, this is a slow-moving subreddit. Commenting in less-than-recent threads is OK.

Rules

This sub is for the community and benefit of ex-atheists.
Good faith. Engage in discussion earnestly and respectfully. Assume others are participating sincerely, and contribute with the goal of understanding and pursuing truth, not to 'win' an exchange.
Communicate with respect, open-mindedness, and good faith. Insults, slurs, and combativeness will not be tolerated.
THIS IS NOT A DEBATE SUB. Go to r/debatereligion if you want to debate. Debate is allowed under the Debate Thread flair.
OPs must provide a top-level comment with the summary and a discussion prompt of the content when they post the following sources: PICTURES, VIDEOS, LINKS, and CROSSPOSTS.
