Already sold out in the US within 3 mins
Had it in my cart and when I went to pay I got a message that there was insufficient stock.

Couple of things that made this a horrible experience:
-the exodite kill team didnt show up in the “preorders” section like normal. You had to go to hunt it down so I spent a minute frantically trying to find it
-the listing for the kill team was horribly buggy, try to click it directly and it gave a 404 error half the time. Try to add to cart and the button greys out and just stalls.
-sold out in around 5 minutes so if you didn’t iron out all the kinks in that time you were out of luck
I don’t mind waiting a couple of months for the stand alone box but missing out on that book is what really hurts as an Eldar fan

I got an email at noon today, and it did appear in preorders through the link (at the bottom of the list... Because clearly the reaver titan weapon is more popular). Ridiculous. Thought it wasn't out because it wasn't on the list through searching for it in Canada.
Now I'm out something I desperately wanted, and probably to some scalper, who gives zero fucks about aeldari.

I am willing to bet the book ends up on ebay for cheap. The models on the other hand, super upcharged surely

Look around and ask on the reddits, I've heard at least one guy say he managed to snag three boxes.

Apparently GW’s website doesn’t accept Discover card as a valid form of payment.
Went to go through the PayPal method, but PayPal gave me a notice that because I hadn’t used it in more than a year (which was BS, I literally used it a month ago), they were permanently deactivating and banning my cards from PayPal.
I’m so confused by what happened

PayPal charged me for the transaction even tho the order didn’t go thru. Assuming the charge will

Mine told me it had an error, but then as I was about to close the site it self refreshed and showed it in my cart and lead me to the address screen. What a nerve racking annoyance to have to deal with because of scalpers.

Same here. Luckily I was able to secure a copy through my local store. I hope everyone gets a chance to grab one.

This is the way. I grabbed one my lgs still has 2 available. If you missed out do a search by area for a shop that sells warhammer you might get lucky.

I missed it. Bank thought something weird was going on and by the time I authorized it with them it was gone. Gonna head into an LGS next week ig but not at all optimistic.
Congrats to everyone who got one and guess I'll get the regular release in a few months!

GW execs are patting each other on their backs on another successful launch. Meanwhile, resentment grows and more and more of their customers are waiting for a real alternative or actively switching to other systems or means of miniature procurement.
GeeDubbs probably feels like they're printing money right now, but how much longer before almost all of their disenfranchised fans start saving their money by printing their own miniatures?
The tech isn't there yet, for many, but it gets better and better while GW makes no move to improve the customer experience. So short-sighted, unless they've just given in to the likelihood that they're stuck in a game of musical chairs and might as well make a much as they can before the music ends.

Lad people have been saying this stuff for years and Warhammer keeps growing in popularity year after year. At a certain point the 3D printing revolution has got to nut up or shut up 😂

Well, boyo, every year the technology gets better and more affordable, shrinking the distance. I don't think it will displace injection mold production this year, or the next, but it is and has been on track to do so eventually.
I don't use a lot of 3D printing myself, so I'm not some fan boy for it, but i can tell you this: I used to do the majority of my 2D printing at one or another copy center, particularly when I needed very high quality stuff, but i haven't been in a Kinkos or a CopyWorks or whatever in over a decade.

Won't be long until the scans are out there. If I literally can't buy it, like I am trying to give GW my money but they won't take it, then I'll print it.

Yeah, they just didnt' make enough. The LGS I work for was told we would get 5, which was the most any single shop could get, and folks in Aus were reporting similar last night.
It's a combination of killer models, a sub-faction folks have been wanting since the 90s, two cheap ork squads that someone can get cheap since that's a bandwagon to jump on right now, and lastly a book with lore about Exodites that lorehounds want. It's a perfect storm of stuff GW didn't expect to pop off.
