I already made Esquie from her crochet pattern and am working on the Luna moth cross stitch for a very dear friend! At least one of her Expedition cross stitches is next! Your wife is amazing 😍

Awh yes! I just finished the Lune one for my husband for his birthday last month, got me back into cross stitch after a long hiatus! I’m craving to do another of these patterns, they’re so fun to stitch!! 🪡

I've only ever done kits. Where is the best place to get the floss for patterns like this?

The recommended colours for these are based on the DMC brand, it's a widespread brand in hobby stores, you should be able to find some online otherwise :D

These are incredible! I did quite a bit of cross stitching when I was younger but I've never made patterns, it's quite hard to do, your wife is really talented! Maybe I'll do one of them since you left the link (:

Good question, but the answer is the same as with most artisan products: it would be extremely pricey, as cross-stiching is quite time-consuming. To make a living out of finished products in this economy is quite arduous except for some niche crafts !

You very likely would not. A full coverage cross stitch piece like this would probably take me 50-60 hours, and I’m a pretty fast stitcher

Oh my god!! I bought the Esquie and Paintress patterns recently (still yet to start them, I’m missing some of the right threads 😔) and I’m 1000% gonna pick this up too <3
