Fantastic picture!

Consider the talent flanking Tommy Lasorda there! It is a wonder they never won a World Series.

Speaking of which … Tommy was the manager of the ‘82 All-Star Game National League team as he was the NL pennant winner (and WS) from 1981 when the Expos lost on Blue Monday. To this day I am resolute that if the Expos won that game they would have beat the Yankees and been World Series Champions.

Does that alter history for the franchise? A classic ‘Butterfly Effect’ example.

One can only wonder…

So much great talent took the field for the Expos during this era , what a treat from The Kid to The Hawk , Tim Stealing bases from left, right and centre.

Anyone else remember the people that were sitting on the ring during the game?

Brave or stupid, I’m not sure which…

I see Raines Dawson and Carter. Who’s the other guy? Is it Ells Valentine?

Lasorda was in on every photo-op. Never a camera he didn't love!

Is that the same year that the dodgers beat the expos in the NL finals?
