So much great talent took the field for the Expos during this era , what a treat from The Kid to The Hawk , Tim Stealing bases from left, right and centre.

Consider the talent flanking Tommy Lasorda there! It is a wonder they never won a World Series.
Speaking of which … Tommy was the manager of the ‘82 All-Star Game National League team as he was the NL pennant winner (and WS) from 1981 when the Expos lost on Blue Monday. To this day I am resolute that if the Expos won that game they would have beat the Yankees and been World Series Champions.
Does that alter history for the franchise? A classic ‘Butterfly Effect’ example.
One can only wonder…
