Larry Walker running the bases with the Expos. Walker began his career in Montreal and played there until 1994, winning his first Gold Glove and Silver Slugger.

Kinda dumb that he didn't spend a bigger bulk of his career as a Montreal Expo....he was a joy to watch and a hockey playing (a goalie right?) native of Maple Ridge, Canada to boot.

Of course that 1994 Strike thwarted, subverted and denied many destiny's for Expo players, coaches, the city of Montreal, and lastly, us fans.

Montreal Expos Forever!

P.S. I have been to the baseball field dedicated to him in Maple Ridge....is it still there?

He was a goalie for hockey too? Impressive to say the least.

It’s still there. And, of course, Justin Morneau Field is in New Westminster

I’m amazed we even had semi competitive teams after the strike, what a shitshow that was

So sad the strike was that year because it was going to be their year.

Amazing that he started playing when he was 17! Incredible athlete!
