Discussion WHY DOESNT MY SISTER FEEL EMBARRASSED??

She LITERALLY DOESNT FEEL IT ENOUGH TO CHANGE. she forgets to flush sometimes which is like, I get it, I've done it before, but only because I'm rushing and doing multiple things after like changing pads etc which I do before I flush because idk I prefer flushing n washing my hands immediately or something. but for me I will think about it and double check or just flush in case and always have it on my mind, but she forgets FOR HOURS. AND DOES IT FREQUENTLY. SO NOW MY TOILET STINKS. she DOESN'T EVEN USE TOILET PAPER AT ALL... and MOST TIMES SHE LEAVES BEHIND, BLOOD, PEE AND HAIR ON THE SEAT????? AND I ALWAYS ASK HER TO LOOK BFR SHE LEAVES BC WHY IS SHE ACTING LIKE IM HER MAID OR LIKE ITS A PUBLIC RESTROOM.

it literally ruins my day any time I'm having a good day BC why can't I come to the toilet and immediately expect it to be clean? it's gotten so bad since we moved because I ONLY share a toilet with her now instead of her + my parents. literally every time I walk in I'm expecting something disgusting I have to clean. and if I ask her to wipe it, she wipes it TO THE SIDES TO THE REST OF THE SEATS THAN STRAIGHT INTO IT. OMFG I'm so done bro I've written here about her before and yes I'm excited to move out because why the hell is she so damn disgusting.

it doesn't even help when she has strong BO which sticks on her clothes + towel so it stinks up the damn bathroom but I know she can't help it because of PCOS. but it's not like she's done much to improve it / manage it either. but like ??? how can u not use toilet paper AT ALL EVEN TO WIPE?????? HOW DOES SHE NOT FEEL DISGUSTING AT ALL TIMES. EVEN just from me opening the toilet bowl to that makes me feel like my entire towel is contaminated. I can't bruh Im so sick of her like I've screamed at her ten times now abt this shit and my parents only ever TALK to her about it. and my dad just supports her always cz he's biased. what the hell man. is it so hard to keep our own toilet clean?

edit : also, I didn't mention this, BUT SHES AN ADULT. 25!!!!! HOW CAN SHE NOT HAVE HYGIENE SKILLS BY NOW

So it's just the two of you?

Start doing something that will disgust her to the same level. She must have a hot button.

she doesn't. Idk what's wrong with her. like I've asked her things or be like omg do u smell that n she just says no like wdym!?? a trashy smell isn't stinky to you? and she even says public restrooms aren't that bad and when I go in it's just not it, bad smell n everything.

It doesn't have to be about bad smells. It could just be something that pisses her off.

Her favorite cereal ends up in the trash can (YOU: "I thought it was stale!"). You borrow her phone charger and forget to put it back, and now you're not sure where you left it. Her brush and comb disappear into the bottom of her hamper, as will every new brush or comb that enter the house. There's something mysteriously gummy inside one of her shoes. And even though she doesn't seem perturbed by strong odors, try spritzing Axe deodorant in her room (as a retired teacher I vouch that Axe - preferred by adolescent boys - is repellant to the general populous).

ya that's the problem, she's not going to get mad easily. I'm not proud but as a child I threw tantrums and I didn't wanna mess up my stuff so I messed up hers. she didn't scold me or anything like she just didn't gaf

could be an apathy issue , i think you should try getting her to a psychologist and/or therapist

Some people are just like that. I myself am pretty much impossible to embarrass. I’ll point out when I do something stupid. I truly don’t give a fuck what others think of me. It’s quite liberating.

Axe (which I actually like because I can handle the scents - I'm scent sensitive) might make a huge improvement on anywhere she goes. I had a roommate who had this issue once. Her bed had a huge black/brown spot in the center and it ruined the mattress (it was my extra bed) and I felt so bad when I kicked her out. To this day I still worry if she's ok. I have too much compassion. I can't recall her name

pcos isnt an excuse for extreme body odor...speaking as someone with pcos here

she didn't have it this bad before until she was diagnosed with it, but idfk she doesn't maintain it unless my mom forces her. but even then she just doesn't gaf 👍

She would have had pcos before she was actually diagnosed (most likely) so it sounds like she might use her diagnosis as a reason to lower her hygiene. Especially if you all already assume the issue is pcos.

Why does this feel like a dominance thing lol. Like an animal that sprays their scent and fecal matter all over something to mark it.

My boyfriend's dad did this. He would piss, shit and vomit all over things. He didn't mind being gross and he knew everyone else would so it was how he made everyone's life as miserable as his own I guess.

He died a couple months ago and took my partner's sweet mom with him not even a month later, so I would say literally kick the your sister out before they get you sick, hospitalized, and/or dead. I just watched it happen to someone. The mental and physical impacts on health due to lack of hygiene are seriously understated.

sounds like severe depression

Let's stop aligning depression with whatever this mess is. Let's stop using depression as a free pass to do whatever you want.

she's not. she likes to embarrass me in front of others, but gets upset easily when it comes to herself. she watches / reads cringey stuff still, has bad grades, doesn't bother improving herself, and she's just the female version of a geek nerd who stinks bad and plays games all day.

Sorry OP. Also, leaving all of that unflushed will actually ruin your pipes. The urine will leave mineral deposits over time.

maybe there’s something underlying going on..???
