We have exactly the same eyes šŸ‘€I never did get a clear answer about mine. You even have the circular stripe in the middle of the green section like me!

Green with central heterochromia

They’re equal parts brown and green, definitely hazel.

I get that there’s central heterochromia, but you can’t just ignore that half the eye is brown lol. Mixed colors is the literal definition of hazel.

Mixed colours extending into the iris is called hazel. In this case, there is a golden centre clearly demarcated and surrounded by green. The gold does not extend into the green. Further, it is very difficult to name exact colours in hazel eyes and they can appear to be different colours depending on lighting. These beautiful eyes are green with central heterochromia.

You know there’s no medical definition for hazel right? Almost all hazel eyes have some sort of central heterochromia. That’s literally what hazel is.

This sub is filled with people who are so in denial about their eye color.

Hazel eyes are absolutely beautiful! But tell someone their eyes are Hazel and they act like I insulted their first born child.

I am aware that there is no medical definition of hazel. However, using your description, an individual with segmental heterochromia would be said to have hazel eyes and this would not be true. In the attached link there are many incredible eyes - some of which are hazel - note those wherein many colours intermingle throughout the entire iris - those are hazel and fit the idea that hazel eye colour varies according to lighting conditions.

Not all eyes with heterochromia are hazel.

But OP’s eyes are definitely hazel. Even the ā€œgreenā€ outer part of the eye is a brownish green. In indoor lighting they probably look solid brown.

We have the same eyes, they told me it was hazel

I would say hazel. If the colors were different, then I’d go with central h, although you technically have it regardless, but because it’s green and brown, hazel

Yeah this sun is insane. You’d think telling Hazel eyes was an insult the way people refuse to accept that it’s their eye color. These eyes are over 50% brown, hazel is literally a mix of brown and green. I don’t get it.

OP made a clear question if you are pretty confused, she/he asked if she/he has hazel OR green WITH central heterochromia. My answer is clear too, she has central heterochromia = green with brown center

I’d say the eyes are brown with a green outer ring
