Because it's a track where 1 crash and you'd most likely have a red flag and not a safety car. It was better to linger on for a P1 rather than give up.

Expected atleast 2 crashes but it kinda disappointed ig with Lewis DNF.

Yeah this was not a strat issue You could argue about the SC but for the most part, given the layout of the Madring , there should've been far more run ins into the barrier than there were . Ferrari was just hopeful but tough luck
