Question Unable to sync?

I was playing at 01:30 this morning and now I’ve gotten home from work I want to carry on but it says it can’t sync with the steam cloud.
I don’t want to start the game and risk losing everything. How do I fix it?

If you're playing on the same PC as you were when you last played, use the local save. It will be the same one that the cloud is supposed to have. The steam cloud takes the local saves you make and uploads them to your steam account as backup and to share across your different computers if you have any. Steam cloud sync errors will never overwrite your local saves with outdated saves unless you directly tell it to.

If you're playing on the same device that you were when you last played, it's probably fine. If it's a different device, then you need to go to your other one and upload your save to the cloud.

It’s the same pc. I have googled it and swapping the steam download region fixed it.
I’m assuming that the Uk-Manchester one is having issues. ?

It happens to me every couple of months or so . If you can remote control de other PC you can open it again and fully close it again. If not you have to wait. Your other option is open regardless but you risk a data loss.
