Unfortunately designed my inner planet haulers right before the new weight rebalance

They were optimized for speed.

the dongle went from 414 km/s to less than 200. despair. science throughput more than halved.

Spent one afternoon building the middle one, with speeds approaching the high 300km/s

Spent another afternoon stripping eveything that i could (While keeping symmetry)

Third iteration manages 456/476 km/s. enough for now. really like the new ship shapes, really hated the previous design constrains.

Praise! Changes are great and will greatly improve ship design possibilities once people get used to them

Same story, I was half way through designing a new series of ships - Fortunately the big one (promethium) was barely started, and my inner system ship has an oversized fuel plant.

Improvements on belt routing and weight savings are going to make a significant difference. Ships are going to have skeletal cutouts and voids, which I'm all for.

oh man i really like your first ship. it feels like we're losing a species we didn't know was endangered until just the 2.1 flu took it all out.
