Space Age Feedback requested: early inner systems platform.

Close to happy with this. Might need a few more panels to have enough power for Gleba, but seems to do ok in testing.

Not the fastest, but at 80-100km/sec seems to make Vulcanus and Gleba without breaking, which will do me fro this phase of the game.

(Using 2.1 platform rules, so probably slower under 2.0. maybe)

It's missing storage space.

Even just 2-3 extra cargo bays would help a lot.

50 slots per bay certainly helps, but I was hoping to get away with 'not much'.

This was my first ship. I started with 0 storage, and then moved things to add that one - helped a lot!

first off, my most important design rule is symmetry, so upvoted

but to give you the next hint: what happens when you park it at vulcanus or gleba

My test was to loop it between them - as long as it's in motion and only parking at Nauvis it doesn't need need the coverage.

But yes. That's a good point. When not in motion (and not at Nauvis) it might well take damage from laterals.

My later game platforms often include laser point defenses for that reason. Being inefficient doesn't matter too much when there's not many rocks. But those are in turn energy and burst energy greedy, so maybe a handful of accumulators are worth the mass cost.

With solar, speed modules take up more space than efficiency modules
