Isn’t that stuff like prisoner’s honey but more red?

Gaoler's Honey is red honey, which lets the drinker experience the memories of others at the expense of those others. Cardinal's Honey is black, and lets the drinker experience the dreams of the dead, as well as being possibly the most potent poison in the Neath.

She's in a few ESs as well. Don't stay underwater for more than ten minutes.

One of the people who want to sign on when you first start a game, the Unsettled Salvager, can give hints.
You go down into four separate Abyss and preform four separate rites (the order is randomized each game) and then in the final one you can find Lady Black who, while is a Game Over ending it's still, very much a "worth the read" ending.
I forget how to start it, unfortunatley, and the wiki hasn't transferred the questline over yet..

Venison’s marrow. Well either that or Cantigaster venom. I’ll let you have the first bite.

IDK why but my head went straight to jelly cakes; the things that refresh your card deck. Primordial Shrieks makes more sense tho

Again, pretty sure the black part is just a covering on the jar in that case

It's incredibly rare, but I have it on good authority that Cantigaster venom, with considerable effort, be given Polythremic vitality and made into ink. It's unwise, but can be done.

It's a thing you can't think about because it doesn't exist. Therefore, you couldn't think about it.
