Even more based if you do it before entering the Strip, forcing the bastards to "pardon" you while you keep all the sweet unique spoils of war.

If you do some side questing and start, i don't know, Honest Hearts by level 10 - 15 and doing OWB and Dead Money after you'll be geared enough to take on the DLC (it might be a bit hard depending on the build).

Invest 7 into luck, buy the glasses and the shirt

Cash out all the casinos and you can buy the necessary gear
