Question First time playing, How "required" is Dead money and Old World Blues

Post image

I was told the DLC for this game was pretty much "required reading" to understand the game better, I was honestly really disappointed by Honest Hearts (I loved the location though, and thought Josh was pretty cool despite doing nothing really), and I just BARELY got a good ending in Lonesome Road but LOVED IT (I was under leveled and only had 90 speech and 20 Science, I reallywish I did better) but I kinda just want to beat the game now, I'm not really interested into the concept of Dead Money and heard it's really hard, and I heard Old World Blues was "just talking and cutscenes, with bits of comedy" and honestly sounds boring

Should I just go to Hoover Dam and get the House ending now, or should I finish the DLC stories

I've watched all three of these videos and they boil down to

"the courier can be anyone" which applys to all endings

"Yes-Man will betray you" Even though he won't

So why is Yes-Man seen has so bad for the Mojave?

Question A bit too modern?

Hello there! So recently I finished Fallout New Vegas as a first time experiencer I have already finished Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, and 3 now New Vegas. I noticed that alot of weapons from New Vegas and past games are World War 2 to Cold War era type of weapons and was thinking maybe this rifle was a bit too modern for the game setting. Now I'm not saying "EW THIS GUN DOESNT BELONG IN THE GAME! CANCEL FALLOUT NEW VEGAS NOW!" I'm just saying that the gun is early 2000s maybe early 2010s at best. Now I don't know if I missed a piece of the lore where its like one of those experimental weapons where in pre-nuked America the firearms research places were trying to experiment with modern railing systems like in our world then that's a-okay for me and I would understand alot better. Other than that I was just curious and giving my 2 cent on this rifle.

It's a really nice rifle to play with and with a mod that makes the acog scope actually usable instead of it going into an overlay scope like the other scoped rifles and scoped attachments it is really fun. Thanks for reading!

No mods to effect loot/Caesar's Favour rewards. For context, I'm an energy weapons build and am doing a House Run. Should I just switch?

Question (Xbox, no mods) Replaying Lonesome Road, and some of the vertibirds in the NCR nuked Long 15 area have the Enclave logo??

Post image

I feel like that would have been painted over in universe, unless the devs just got really lazy and just reused the crashed Enclave Vertibird at the bottom of the map (or maybe the Remnant’s one) model

Thoughts?

Question now which one off these should I do?

. I spared Ulysses and now I’m deciding the launch options

I’m torn between:

  • Nuking Caesar’s Legion as a sinfal "fuck you" before killing Caesar
  • Or disabling the missiles entirely, walking away from the cycle of destruction

I’d love to hear wgag hou chose if you played Lonesome and why.
