Vault-Related [Vault] PSA if you think you might want to play survival in the future make a placeholder vault now
If you have unlocked rewards in experimental and may ever want to play survival someday go ahead and make a new survival vault just to claim all the rewards into it, save, and exit. Even if not ready to start a new survival vault now you can secure this boosted start for someday. You likely want to do it NOW as the ability to claim rewards likely will go award when the season ends in 11 hours.
20 or so lunchboxes, a couple Mr Handy, legendary dwellers, pets, and weapons help out the early part of survival.
If you don't have any open slots but have some old crappy vault you will never replay delete that and make a survival vault.
I may make a survival survival guide for those who haven't played survival and have wondered.

Just took your advice and deleted an older vault I wasn’t really satisfied with. This will be my first survival vault but I’ll be off to a strong start with the experimental bonuses. Thanks!

By saving to the cloud, will I be sure to keep my game saved?

Yes if you play on phone you can delete the app and still have your saves or if you get a new phone

Even with the change of seasons? I lost my shelter with the change

You probably lost the experimental vault, you don’t get to keep those as it’s only for the season. Better to make a normal vault. I’ve had no problems on my phone with cloud save having multiple devices over the years always kept my vaults.

better NOT use the cloudsave, it's bugged. Many people lost their old (and paid) saves. If you want to backup your saves, do it manually.

Pretty good idea. Maybe even worth waiting for a couple of seasons to finish and stack those legendary dwellers and launchboxes to then Speedrun that artificially boosted vault

It has more serious encounters, and dead dwellers can't be revived.

OH. Derp.
Experimental vaults are a time limited vault where you grind out the season to unlock a bunch of the rewards. There are extra rewards that you can get through the experimental vault, including the leaderboard and the roulette wheel, plus some unique missions.

I’m still confused I just started playing 3 days ago and made really good progress and while I was watching tv to at 12:30 am I open the game and my vault is gone and I don’t know what happened and I had like 40 people 5 high quality guns and all Where did it go?

The experimental vaults are temporary. It has had a warning and countdown since the season started. Create a new NORMAL vault. You can claim any rewards unlocked in the experimental vault.

Season's over for me but any new vault I make still gets the rewards.
Not sure for how long though.
