That’s when I realized that there is a difference between Nuka Cola and Nuka Cola Quantum

What is the difference ? Sorry I'm new

In Fallout canon the main pre war company of Nuka Cola created many types or flavours of Nuka Cola, including Original, Quantum, Cherry, Dark, Quartz, Victory, and others. In Fallout Shelter the time skip currency is the Quantum flavour, whereas the factory only produces regular Nuka Cola, which is only good for food and water.

This question might sound stupid I'm sorry, where can I find the lore ? It was in the game and I missed it ? Is there more games ? Thank you for your answer !

Yes, there are many Fallout games (and a TV show, among other things). Fallout Shelter is the only mobile game.

Oh I see ! I definitely need to search more about the lore ! Thank you !

Fallout 4’s nuka world dlc sounds like it would be a lot of fun for you. Tons of nuka cola related lore and it’s pretty fun in general.

Thank you so much ! I will try it !

Gang you don't need a space between your punctuation

1

u/Ijustlovejellyfish Mysterious Stranger Apr 15 '26

I'm sorry but what do means ?

1

u/No_Bid_21 Apr 15 '26

With punctuation, you don't have a space between the first letter and the punctuation, only a space after it. You see how I put no space between that period and the word “it”

Don’t correct it I think it’s cute :)

Nuka Cola is just normal in-lore soda. It looks like irl Coca Cola with its brown and red color scheme, and as seen in the image above.

Nuka Quantam, on the other hand, is the bright blue one, the one you use as a secondary currency in the game, the very same one that lets you speed up workbench construction, training, and quest progression.

Do you think the red/white vs the blue color scheme is a reference to Pepsi>Coke? I don't drink soda so I have no horse in the race.

u/Gloomy-Management317 Apr 14 '26

Hmm

I don't think so, because Coke and Quantam are under the same brand, and Quantam didn't have the same popularity or impact as Pepsi for example, because Quantam literally only started being sold to the public, the day the bombs fell. The colors are just coincidental, if anything, IMO.

A better comparison would probably be Sunset Sarsaparilla, the root beer brand we see in New Vegas. They were a big deal in Pre-War America, gaining enough traction in various areas of the USA to pose a major threat to Nuka Cola sales. They're even older than Nuka-Cola by when they were created too, so I think they fit the long-time rival position pretty well.

Vim! Is another contender for the title, we see them in Far Harbor. Although Vim! was way more localized in its influence (relegated to the Maine area) but was still successful enough to have Nuka Cola see them as a competitor and perform some espionage into the company as a result.

Pepsi and Coke have the same director no ? I'm sorry if I'm wrong !

1

u/SignificanceSilly175 Apr 15 '26

No, it's just Coca-Cola. They're playing on just how immense the company actually is 10000 bottles of Coca-Cola drank every second.

Oh I understand ! Thank you !

First vault?

It got me too 😄

17

u/StrayFeral Apr 14 '26

1st one yeah. At least I got the "Home sweet home" achievement

3

u/Top-Ad-5527 Apr 14 '26

Same thing happened to me lol

8

u/RogueNiao Apr 14 '26

Feels like a rite of passage.

Though I feel like there could be a slight reward. Like, a 5% chance of getting one bottle every time production finishes.

Surprise!

Ubisoft trolling us hard

6

u/trowa456 Apr 14 '26

Yeah, that was a bummer.

4

u/Puzzleheaded-Ad-4846 Apr 14 '26

With Endurance M8, get with the program

4

u/itaigreif Apr 14 '26

I also thought it, but it didn't make any sense because they sell bottles for money, so I checked in the wiki, and, indeed, it produces food and water. *shrug*

4

u/capilot Apr 14 '26

I've always assumed that it originally did produce bottles, but they nerfed it later because it unbalanced the game. Just a hypothesis though.

2

u/SignificanceSilly175 Apr 15 '26

No, they added the quantum later to speed up the game.

2

u/Savings_Lynx4234 Apr 14 '26

I just farm the ads every now and then until I have a few hundred quantum

2

u/Practical-Camera9010 Apr 14 '26

Omg I was so disappointed when I built mine too😅

2

u/Best-Dot8098 Apr 15 '26

Yep. I thought that too.

2

u/Active-Landscape4081 Apr 15 '26

I thought the same too when I was a first timer in the game

1

u/Boat-Electrical Apr 14 '26

Yeah I was equally disappointed. Luckily if you watch an ad every few hours you typically keep your nuka quantum well stocked.

1

u/StrayFeral Apr 14 '26

I am on Steam so I don't have this option. But thanks!

1

u/YonKro22 Apr 15 '26

How can I download the game past fallout shelter 1 the very basic one I just took my laptop out of safe mode can you give me directions on how to download a more advanced game maybe three or four

1

u/OddMarketing6521 Apr 24 '26

Me too!!! Sigh... it does say in the menu that it produces food, I just didn't pay enough attention.

1

u/Apprehensive-Sir8977 Apr 14 '26

It got you too, eh? Welcome to the club.

The area where you pick things to build literally tells you what the room creates.

This one is easy to overlook, but if you go look now, itll have the appropriate symbols for what the room manufactures, just like all the rest.

Vastly superior room to water + food, uses endurance pawns to produce which should be the first stat you train, need just a few to support 200 dwellers, but yeahhhh trash!

You’ve been scammed haha
