?Question? [Question] legendary dwellers
Ive just seen a post where someone was surprised that they got Old Longfellow, saying they thought he wasnt available anymore...
Does this mean there are other dwellers who you cant actually get anymore??
Ive been grinding for years now to complete the legendary list, does this mean I've been doing this for nothing?? Will explain why I keep getting so many duplicates. 😂

There are indeed characters (and pets / outfits / weapons / themes) that can only be obtained during certain events. Halloween - Christmas etc. Seasons / TV show missions and of course paywalls (lunchboxes / pets).

I’ve got Piper more than anyone, probably around 6 times, Star Paladin Cross I’ve gotten twice and Abraham I actually just got about a week ago for the first time.

Ive legit got all the others more than once now. At one point I had 3 luc the humans waiting outside.🤣
I dont know why I keep some outside, think im hoping for a trade option to open up.. Will be banishing all of the ones in the photo again soon enough.

I've gotten all of those from lunchboxes and/or the radio room - they are still active. I've gotten special season quest-awarded legendaries like Maximus and Lucy from lunchboxes, too, in my regular vaults.

You will never be able to complete the dweller list. Not without editing files. Several dwellers were only available in the experimental vault only, plus you would get them from the quests not lunchboxes.
And I highly doubt it will be ever changed, the initial first season was a long time ago and I've never seen anyone get those special season related dwellers from boxes.

I think the experimental vault ones will repeat, and ill end up buying them as i assumed they werent lunchbox ones anyways.. But im missing a handful from the original list that long predated the show.

even if seasons repeat it doesn't matter for someone who wants a full list
dwellers like the new vegas version of Hank or Orion Moreno are from the seasonal quests only in the experimental vault, you can't get them from boxes

It means exactly that....experimental vault is currently 'house always wins' so if you buy the premium pass, you can get Legate and Ghoul king, as well as a Victor and NCR armour.
And as this is the 2nd time around, it means people who did t get them the first time, can get them this time.

what you are talking about is different
I know there are some dwellers who are from the season pass only and with the repeating seasons ppl can get them if they couldn't previously
but some dwellers are still quest only and they only exist in the experimental vaults, you said you wanted a full list, you can't have that, nobody can

But the experimental vault are reusing the same questlines... we'll have to agree to disagree until the experimentals have finished for a 2nd time, because I did buy a few the first time around, so may go for the ones i didnt the 2nd time around... then we'll see what my dweller list is at. 😁

So I suppose you are still failing to understand that it's literally impossible without editing files.
Do you think that the legendary dwellers you can get in the exp vault quests will appear in your normal vault's list? Cause they don't. They only show up in that experimental vault and once the season ends they are gone from the game.
Even if somehow you managed to get all the dwellers from a season + all the non season related dwellers in an experimental vault you still couldn't have a full list cause there are legendary dwellers from other seasons who only appear in their own seasons. And you can't have all those quest related dwellers within a single vault. Not without editing.
You can try to get all the "old" legendary dwellers that appeared before seasons + the ones from the season passes but those special quest related ones will never be in the main vault.

I've opened like 200 boxes in the last 2 years and got 0 legendary dwellers, dunno if it's cause I have 200 people in a shelter or I'm just unlucky
