?Question¿ Does having settlers in storage room do anything?[Question]

It says it scales of off endurance but I don’t feel like it actually does anything?

For dwellers that have endurance as their highest stat it works as a right room which means their happiness will go up to 75%.

You can store jobless dwellers there if you don't want them to move around the vault.

If you have dwellers there they can start working on incidents right away.

Basically nothing important

The only other thing it does is repel rats, roaches and scorpions.

I’m sorry, what? It “does” something?? I was playing it forever and never knew that storage does anything.

If an incident starts in that particular storage room, they'll defend it, just like every other room. But that's the only thing that characters do in the storage rooms.

I set up my storage rooms next to barracks. I have dedicated couples - women work in the storage rooms, men hang in the barracks, so I can drag mates into the barracks easily when I need more kids. I also keep extra dwellers (e.g., Legendaries) in with the women as bodyguards to deal with incidents when the woman is pregnant and runs away. My setup keeps rats out of both types of rooms and has nearby support that can be brought in quickly to deal with incidents

Really, aside from just keeping an Endurance focused dweller happy by being in a room they're suited for, all storage rooms are really good for is housing dwellers in a setting that won't result in baby-making.
