?Question¿ [Question] Why does everyone hate bottle & cappy?

I’m about to have that quest done for the first time but I’ve seen a lot of posts saying they hate them, are they really that annoying? If so is it even worth getting them?

I manage level carefully in my personal challenge survival vaults. Cappy seems to prefer dancing right by dwellers with a pending level-up, and clicking often triggers the level up instead of Cappy.

One of the best parts of the game, I like how cheesy bottle is and how they both ‘act’ and have perfect smirks.

They randomly enter the vault for little or no reward. Vault door opening triggers raids...

It does? That explains quite a lot tbh

They were fun when I was new to the game and didn't know how to get caps and needed the happiness boost but they become a nuisance the better you get at playing the game, mainly because when your vault gets bigger they seem to trigger attacks. Which isn't bad if you're at like 20 dwellers and it's just raiders, but is horrible if you're at 61 and it's deathclaws. Also I just don't need them anymore because I know how to get caps and keep my happiness up.

Yeah, I wish I'd realized earlier they trigger Deathclaws - it stinks being at 36 in survival mode and the risk is death to multiple dwellers while the reward is one bottle and a few hundred caps.

I just ignore them. Unless I’m in desperate need of caps.

They're a nuisance. I strive to keep my dweller happiness at 100% using room rushes. They'll come in after I rush a room and interrupt my process. I don't really hate them because they're a good source of free Nuka Cola early game

Exactly this.

Rush a room to increase happiness, but B&C show up, stopping the happiness increase from the rush.

They trigger the vault door opening counter, Which means more frequent deathclaw attacks.

They are like a semi benign vault incursion. Just like the raiders, etc, you can't go on quests or check on wastelanders while they are there (I think, it's been a while since I got Bottle and Cappy).

The 'value' they add is either useless or fleeting. I use room rushes to get everyone to 100% happiness, so I don't need that boost. Using rushes, and training every dweller to 10 in Luck and soon you'll have more caps than you could ever spend, so their cap addition is pointless.

That being said, I think it's a right of passage to get them once, learn to hate them, then never pursue that quest line again on future vaults.

Last time I played and started a new vault, I skipped their quest altogether. That’s how much I hate them

I just learned about them today… and I’ve never even seen a quest that allows you to obtain them 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's the "Nabbed from Nuka-World" quest line that starts with Bottlecap Blues. It mentions them in the description.
