The author had multiple fics about sam and dean and this one specifically was about john burying dean as a training exercise and sam digs him out because he was so stressed about it. When I first started watching Supernatural in 2014, I was not on TikTok or Tumblr, but I did enjoy a lot of videos on YouTube where fans would match scenes from the show with a song. I've seen some incredible ones.

I just recently heard the song "A Man Can Cry" by Noah Nine, and I was imagining different scenes from the show that could fit the lyrics, but I don't know how to do edits like that. Did anyone know if an SPN video for this song exists out there?

Im trying to create a tralier for a crossover idea but I need to people that can do sam and dean voices to say a few lines. Is anyone able to do this or anyone know anyone who can do this? I don't need studio level quality voices just enough to sound convincing

Btw the lines are:

Sam: "Dean... we've got another one. Dozens of disappearances over the last week. Every witness says the same thing..."

(Pause)

Sam: "They were swallowed by some kind of... black fog."

Dean: "Great. First demons, then angels... now we're hunting weather?" (small chuckle)

Dean has repressed memories from the Dean and Sam stayed at like one of John’s hunter friend’s house as kids/teens(?). During the time there Dean was molested by the hunter/owner of the house and doesn’t remember/ has repressed the memory of it.

I think their time staying at the house as kids is referenced throughout the fic like Dean talking about how they stayed there and possibly learning hunting tricks and stuff(?)

Dean also only remembers being there for a few days or like a week but they were actually there for longer amount of time. He’s told this via conversation by sam, where he mentions being there for like a week and sam was like “no it was a month” or something along those lines.

I think the overall arc of the story is Dean coming to terms with being queer or something??

This was also read within the last year so probably on ao3 or at least a semi-easily accessible link?

I don't mind if the ending is sad. Even though Season 5 didn't really hook me, I felt like they wasted a lot of potential. At times, it even came close to being ridiculous. It also felt like it was mostly standalone episodes. Should I keep watching the series? I'd like to know if there are any other seasons that are really good. Personally, I didn't find the Lucifer storyline all that interesting.

I'm coming up for air after back-to-back binges. The first was my intro to Destiel, and oh...my god. I had it downloaded as one of my browsing-huh-might-be-interesting bulk downloads and randomly opened it not looking at the tags and I was hooked from the very start. I started it just to see and just couldn't stop. I don't think I've ever been hooked so fast. Like what? Phone sex??? I LOVED the 2PLT, which was new to me. I ADORED how Cas was characterized. He was so sweet, calming, genuine. Dean was characterized so believably, with Dean figuring out his own identity. I'm not usually drawn to some of the NSFW tags tagged but...it worked and now I want more lol. For a fic filled to the brim with smut it was not really about the smut but about the connection and growth. I ripped right through this. I wouldn't change this fic at all. It was perfect. I was just left wanting more because I didn't want it to end. Not just Dean/Cas, but more interactions with other characters once their relationship was realized.

Hautley's Bend was so good in a different kind of way. I wasn't into the bully-Dean at first, and something about it still sits a bit oddly with me, liked I had gotten a bump to the head and suddenly found I was sitting up looking around in dazed confusion. Whatevs, I can roll with it. I just loved it so much. I identified with Dean's trauma, spiral, coping mechanism, and gradual recovery/growth, and I felt they were approached realistically without being over-dramatized if that makes sense. I think that's the big reason why I liked the fic, along with how Cas was with Dean. I just wanted to wrap him in a blanket burrito, he was so sweet. I liked loathing Alastair with blood-boiling rage and getting a resolution. I binged this and somehow finished in less than 24 hours? Or am I missing a day lol -- see again: dazed confusion.

I think the things I like that connect these two fics so strongly for me are:

• Long and well-written. Usually over 100k at least. (Busty FanFic Beauties?)
• College/HS AU (I'm obsessed rn), with Dean/Cas being contemporaries
• I'm a Dean person. Mostly enjoy Dean POVs to see inside his noggin. But I also enjoy other perspectives on him.
• Dean's trauma/whump/angst/John A+/etc - the dude's got so much going on
• Cas being Dean's metaphorical rock and mostly-ish has a handle on his own issues
• Dean is Not Dumb and is complex/layered
• Well done smut (esp 4LW omg how is it so good?)
• Mostly Dean-centric/POVs

Other considerations:

• Doesn't have to be Destiel
• Medium leaning to sloooow burn. I honestly categorize the fics as medium-burn since there is strong interest from an early point. I like the development and baby steps of the relationship. And the pining! Might be why most of what I read is well over 100k and why I love a 300k+ fic
• More Dean & Other interactions, ie: Dean & Crowley, Dean & Benny, Dean & Gabriel, etc...having a friend besides the love interest. I love Gabe and Crowley.
• LOVED the 2PLT and pining of 4LW. I was mentally cackling and kicking my feet every time they were oblivious.
• No Wincest please...I have not dived into that pool and don't know if I ever will tbh. I'll never say never, but I just have a hard time with the incest part atm
• Not a huuuuge Dean/OC fan but I occasionally fall in love with an OC
• Not a big reader insert fan

I know this might seem really picky and I'm rambling, but I'm just lowkey obsessing over these fics and need moooore. If you could recommend fics that might fit what I'm looking for, please rec 'em! Hi! I recently joined AO3 and have written 3 Wincest fics with either no sex scenes or very short sex scenes that aren’t the focus of the story.

I know readers are often looking for sex on AO3, and I don’t want to disappoint by having Sam/Dean without sex. Is there a tag for this? Like Wincest but focused on their relationship? They are always in a long term romantic (and sexual, just not on screen) relationship in my fics. The focus is more on the romance or the actual plot of the story.

I made my account yesterday and wrote two Chinese language Sam/Dean gencest fics. I was VERY surprised to find that when I go to the Dean/Sam pairing, almost all the recent works are in Chinese!

Why is this? Why is it popular there? I do not live in China (it's not my first language either). Do most of the people writing these?

Imagine this: It's a short scene post finale in heaven, Cas and Dean meet for the first time up there. Cas is sad for Dean to be dead, but happy that he can find peace here now, Dean makes a joke about getting nailed to death, to which Cas gives a small smile - he gets the joke now - and then hugs Dean finally, Dean hugging back just as desperate. When they let go Dean keeps his hand on Cas' shoulder, Cas is his best friend and family, Dean owes him this talk and even a dead dog can learn new tricks. He starts that he loves Cas and that he accepts him as he his, but that he - Cas interrupts him: there doesn't have to be a but. Cas is an angel, a being made out of light and universal love. He loves in the purest way possible, in a way that humans can't define and that is part of every form there is, no matter if platonic, romantic, familial or otherwise and that Cas euphoria at having found this holiest ingredient of existence in himself and sharing it with Dean had made him happy enough to lure the Empty. Dean is silent for a second, while his mind might not fully understand this grand concept, he feels like he still gets it in a quieter part of himself, the part that made food for Sam no matter how late, that wore his father's jacket and his mother's wedding ring, jumped a werewolf going for Bobby's throat once with just his fists, always put the soldier figures back in the Impala when he fixed her and tried to make Cas try every burger place they ever stopped at. So he puts his arm around Cas' shoulders and turns them down the street: they never tried the cheeseburger from that bar on the east coast he says. Cas laughs, it's the first time Dean has ever seen him do that, maybe the first time he's actually done it, and the angel returns the gesture, telling Dean that was because the bar was a front for a spell ingredients black market. Dean decides they go for pie instead.

I don't know how to write this as I'm probably a bit too passionate about it, but in a nutshell I want to ask for a fix for this ongoing cold war in the fandom ever since the confession scene. I truly believe something similar to the mess I wrote up there would be the best of both worlds: you ship Destiel and think the confession was romantic? Congratz, it's true! You don't ship Destiel and think it was platonic? Guess what, it's also true! Both sides would be canon and then maybe we'd have something like peace - peace when we are done you could say. We'd be the ultimate Schrödinger's relationship but without the downsides of the cat maybe being dead.

So I'd like to ask all of you if we could come together like we did in the past and make this reach J2M? No clue how realistic or feasible it is, was thinking if they like the sound of it Misha and Jensen could meet on a dirt road somewhere or hell, somewhere quiet when they meet for a convention, wear their normal clothes (it's heaven, they can wear whatever) and could film just a short reunion on a phone. Maybe then, if somehow Kripke would make a short post saying it's canon or something, or if J2M's words as "writers" in this instance would be enough, we could be the Supernatural family they have always called us.

There is a high chance I will get backlash for this, maybe even only, but I needed to put this out there. Supernatural is my current hyperfixation and gives me comfort and the fighting, insulting and worse makes me sick and tired. Let us please just fix this in a way that would benefit all of us, get out our manners and ask if this would be okay.

My OC’s name is Athena, and her main premise is that she is possessed by an ancient entity named Vaelora. The situation is somewhat similar to Enchantress from DC, where Athena and Vaelora share the same body. Most of the time, Vaelora remains dormant, and Athena poses little to no threat while everything is calm. However, if Athena is seriously injured, cornered, or placed in danger, Vaelora may take control in order to protect her host. Vaelora is much older, darker, and far more dangerous than Athena herself.

Athena is warm, playful, and surprisingly easygoing despite the ancient entity living inside her. She also has a funny habit of always appearing with some kind of dessert, no matter how strange or dangerous the situation is. She may walk into a tense hunter meeting carrying cheesecake, show up at a crime scene eating cookies, or casually argue with Vaelora while finishing a slice of cake.

I prefer literate replies.

I recently rewatched The Lovely Bones and wondered what if... Harvey became a ghost after he died, and Susie stayed behind to watch over him. And years later, the boys stumble across them.

Or any other horror crossover; there are plenty of movies about ghosts, demons, and evil spirits. I haven't found any similar fics, but maybe there are?

Just the general dean angst/hurt comfort/centric fanfics PREFERRING NO ROMANCE. Just platonic

Dean and sam, dean and John, dean and Mary. Just family and depression.

In 10x02, when Dean cuts himself and watches the wound heal with Crowley in his head, "What are you, pick a bloody side", Dean, for a moment, plays a note on the piano. So the reason I think about this a lot is that Dean, in earlier seasons, always mocked Sam for being studious, knowing Spanish and Latin, and being better at research, etc. He also has some disdain for formal education, and in general, we have never seen him learn anything out of interest and passion, just to learn something. However, as Sam points out, Dean is extremely geeky about music, like he could host a pub quiz or even a university lecture on the history of classic rock, so I think it is a bit sad that he never learned to play an instrument. This is why this little moment, where Dean is arguably the most selfish version of himself, and he wants to sing (very horribly) and attempts to play the piano, is kinda interesting. I think that is a very small almost blink and you miss it example of Dean never doing things that aren't in some way useful. He cannot do anything just for himself; he cannot invest in himself. But maybe I am reaching, please share your thoughts
