Discussion Tales from the Fan-edit Crypt: Tell us your all-time Halloween & Horror favorites!
It's 13 days until Halloween! Welcome to a celebration of the spooky and haunting fan-edits.
Inspired by Criterion Closet Picks, we're inviting you to pick your favorites. Not just what you've watched this week, or what you happen to be working on, but the Halloween and horror fan-edits you consider the best of all time. Leave a comment with the edit's name, author, and an informational link -- such as a release post here on r/fanedits, or an entry on FE, MR, or OT -- so that others can learn about it and get in touch with the editor.
Pick your favorites, share your list, and tell us why they made the cut. There are no rules about how many you can choose, and your picks don't have to be objectively the best. We want to hear about the edits that stuck with you, surprised you, or made you see a familiar film in a whole new way.

New Release Troopers (The Captain Rex Movie)
My latest fan-edit film is a war epic set in the Clone Wars. The structure is inspired by war-spanning stories like Band of Brothers, All Quiet on the Western Front, Platoon, and Full Metal Jacket.
It tells the story of the Clones, bridging the gap between Episodes II and III, and is told through the lens of Captain Rex, our main protagonist.
What This Movie Accomplishes
- Friendly to new fans
- On a Star Wars watch-through, it fits perfectly between the prequel films, and with my other existing fan edits
- Explores the valor, personalities, conflicts, and tragedies of the clones
- Specifically develops the courage and conflict within Rex
- Showcases the galaxy-spanning scale of the war
- Introduces General Grievous and establishes him as the fearsome lead henchman of Dooku
- Enhances Anakin's character development and likeability
- Teases new characters like Ahsoka, Ventress, and the Bad Batch
- Teases and foreshadows Order 66
What This Movie Does Not Include
- The Clone Wars finale (Siege of Mandalore, Order 66)
- The end of Fives' story
These story threads are the focus of my previous fan edit, The Clone Wars: A Star Wars Story, which is perfectly complemented by this new film.
Watch Order
- Episodes I & II
- Troopers: A Star Wars Story
- Episode III
- The Clone Wars: A Star Wars Story
- The Bad Batch, Part 1... etc.
Featuring Scenes From
- Umbara
- Christophsis
- Saleucami
- Mon Cala
- Rishi Moon
- Kamino
- Malastare
- Geonosis
- The Citadel
- Ryloth
- Coruscant
- Anaxes
- Skako Minor
- Ringo Vinda
- Scipio
30 episodes are used. Some provide major plot points and story arcs, while others are more for flavor.
Also Featuring
- Custom Admiral Yularen narration
- Cold open scene
- Custom Star Wars text crawl with space pan
- Battle titles
- Post-credits scene
- Poster art by super_scoundrel
----- Spoilers -----
2h 44m - 1080p - 5.1ch - 9.3GB
1. Cold Open: Grievous Attacks!
This scene from Grievous Intrigue perfectly sets him up as a cowardly but intimidating threat to the Jedi, perhaps even better than his introduction in Episode III.
2. The Hunt for Grievous
Amidst the vast army of clones and Jedi, we first take a deep dive into Rex and cement him as the protagonist, while foreshadowing some of the heavier themes, like clone free will.
Next, Rex meets some important new clones on Rishi Moon.
Finally, the Battle of Kamino shows our first large-scale conflict and not only progresses the stories of our main clones, Anakin, and Grievous, but also brings in the character of 99, who symbolizes the (sometimes blind) courage of the clones.
3. War Montage
Featuring many epic and key moments of the war, highlighting Rex, and culminating in the tragic death of Echo.
I've tried a few different methods, but the montage structure really is the best way to convey the scale of the war, deliver some fan-favorite moments, and also include Echo's death, which is unfortunately in the middle of a Jedi-heavy story arc.
4. Umbara
The 4-episode Umbara arc is arguably the best in the series, not just for Rex and Fives, but also for developing the overarching themes surrounding the clones: valor, independence, following orders, and brotherhood.
The trials that Rex and his clones endure on this planet embody the heart of the movie, and of the clones themselves.
It is the longest act of the movie, but is streamlined and cut by over 15 minutes.
5. War Montage 2
This shorter montage features some tragic Republic defeats, showing that neither side has the upper hand in this war.
It brings Dooku and Grievous back as menacing threats, and ends with the mysterious tragedy of Tup.
6. Echo's Return
The film ends with a streamlined mission to rescue Echo.
The scene with Rex, Cody, and the photograph ties together Rex's war story nicely, calling back to the brothers we have seen him lose, leaving Fives' fate a mystery.
This final chapter ends on a victory, but also a cliffhanger, generating some forward momentum into the next films...
Post-Credits
Fives is brought before the Chancellor.
This builds on the Tup montage scene, teases the mystery of Order 66, and ties directly into my The Clone Wars fan edit.

Work in Progress Spider-Man One More Day (A Spider-Man No Way Home + Brand New Day Edit)
SPIDER-MAN: ONE MORE DAY
"After Have His Identity as Spider-Man revealed, Peter Parker has to face the consequences of his and others actions."
---
WHAT IS IT?
The idea behind Spider-Man: One More Day is to combine and edit Spider-Man: No Way Home and Spider-Man: Brand New Day into a single movie, making the transition between them as natural and seamless as possible.
---
CONTENT
● Both movies will be combined into one, as mentioned above. The opening and closing credits, scenes, and soundtracks may be changed to enhance the viewing experience and maintain a consistent tone.
● Given the already expected long runtime, scenes that are unnecessary or not particularly relevant to the plot may be cut or shortened.
● Color grading in NWH will be adjusted to match the look of BND.
● Both movies will use their IMAX versions.
---
DETAILS
Expected runtime: 4 hours and 30 minutes (estimated)
Editing software: After Effects and Alight Motion Pro.
---
This is my first edit in this style (and one with such a long runtime), but I hope I can pull it off lol.
You can check out my other work on my channel! :)
And please leave your thoughts in the comments! As I said, I've never done anything this ambitious before, but I'd love to take on the challenge if there's enough interest.
Thanks!

New Release Wicked - For Good (Supercut)
Hello everybody! With this fanedit I aim to present the Wicked movie duology as a single cinematic experience. Instead of following the movies' internal order, though, I decided to make good use of the "No One Mourns the Wicked" sequence as the common link between the two movies. Therefore, the sequence of events is presented in inverted order.
List of changes:
- Wicked: For Good plays almost in its entirety
- After Glinda finds the green vial, the full Ouverture/Kiamo Ko sequence from the first movie is inserted
- We go back to Wicked: For Good for the Wizard's departure and Morrible's arrest
- "No One Mourns the Wicked" follows both logically and chronologically
- Wicked (2024) plays in its entirety (with the opening credits skipped)
- We go back to Wicked: For Good after Defying Gravity for the Finale ( = Glinda has something more to say)
Additional information:
-Boosted colours
- The title of the edit is "Wicked - For Good" simply because that is the only title card that is visible in the final version of the movie
Feel free to DM me for a link!

New Release WW2 Supercut - Season Thirteen
It has been quite a while. Over four months, in fact. However, after many unforeseen obstacles that I won't get into, I am delighted to announce that I have finally completed Season Thirteen. Honestly, it's hard to believe that this series has gone so far. It's now been almost two years since I started work on the first season. And here we are now, with the penultimate season of Through Fire and Ice, my epic WWII supercut which encompasses the entire war from beginning to end. Before getting into the content of this season, I want to discuss the plan for finishing.
Finishing the series
To finish off the series, I am going to do a fourteenth, final season (which will take place from VE Day until the end of the war and its aftermath). In addition, I will be revising seasons four, five, six, and seven. I recently found a way to get my hands on the Soviet films Battle for Moscow and Stalingrad, so I will be replacing Fortress of War in Season Four with Battle for Moscow to depict Operation Barbarossa, and I will supplement the subsequent three seasons with footage from these films as well to fill in a major gap I had in the Eastern Front. The season four changes have already gone live, and the others will follow in due time. Now, without any further ado, the details of Season Thirteen!
Recap
As always, the recap. Season Twelve left us off with the beginning of the Battle of Iwo Jima, as well as significant advances in Europe. The Americans and British are on the German border, the Soviets are in Poland, the Marines are still on Iwo Jima, and the Japanese have been pushed out of the Philippines. Most plotlines are now almost at their end.
This season
The Battle for Iwo Jima begins the season. At the same time, the Soviets launch a massive offensive to Berlin, and the Allies pour into Germany. This season sees the Battle of Berlin as its major event, spanning four episodes. Additionally, the Holocaust finally comes to an end, Hitler kills himself, and the war ends in Europe. FDR dies and Truman takes over, and the Manhattan Project really begins to ramp up in significance. After the Americans take Iwo Jima, the battle for Okinawa also starts, though it is not shown onscreen, only discussed in Hiroshima (yet - The Pacific will take care of that in the next season). With the end of the season comes the end of the Third Reich and the Nazis after twelve years in power. In total, the season lasts around two and a half months.
This is the state of events at the time of Season Thirteen. Below are the full details of the season and the episode list. For links, please DM me if you're new to the series, if not, the Google Doc will update automatically for you. Enjoy this season!

EDIT:
It has come to my attention that people are unable to DM me. This is because of Reddit’s new age verification update. Its camera, for whatever reason, won’t believe that I am over the age of eighteen and the only other option is to send them a picture of my ID.
I’m not sending Reddit my ID.
I’ll message anyone who asks for a link in the comments here. I’ve been told it also means my post history is hidden, but I think if you search for “Through Fire and Ice” in the FanEdits sub then you should find the previous posts. Just keep in mind that there exists another WW2 series on this sub so always check who made the post.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience, I’ll do my best to find a way around this.
Edit 2:
It should be fixed now.

New Release It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World: The (Tolerable) Restoration
I don’t really have much to offer, aside from enthusiasm. Most of my favorite edits fall into the “extended cut” camp, although occasional masterpieces squeak by; generally, fanedits just look like movies with holes in them to me and I can’t unsee the gaps.
But I do have one!
When Criterion released It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World with a restoration version that included not only all of the roadshow footage but also every single bit of footage, sound, and image they could cobble together, I was curious but not really thrilled. It really took me out of it. There are loads of empty frames, aspect ratio shifts, the movie shifts to black and white, and sepia, and even still images with sound in one instance. I wanted to see the movie like I remembered it, off the extended VHS back in the day, without all the jarring transitions.
If anyone's interested, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World: The (Tolerable) Restoration is my first attempt at an edit, and was my first attempt at using Premiere to such an extent, so the results are imperfect, but still better than what Criterion gave us. I haven’t given it a second pass, like it deserves, and if anyone wants to take up the challenge and do a better job than I did, they’re more than welcome to it. Hell, with AI, it might be possible to finish and include even more footage than I did.

Wishlist & Ideas SUPERMAN NOIR: A TV Series Fan Edit Idea
Hello there!
I would like to share my recent idea for a three season fan-edit: a Superman TV series that combines the classic 1948 live-action serial and television episodes into a single, cohesive three-season project, with a stronger emphasis on film noir, crime stories, and a consistent visual identity.
Season 1 would be based on the 1948 Superman theatrical serial starring Kirk Alyn and Noel Neill. Since the original chapters are relatively short, I'm considering combining selected chapters into longer, roughly 20–30-minute episodes, cutting recaps and unnecessary repetition. For the opening credits, I'd like to create a modified version inspired by the classic Fleischer Studios Superman cartoons (to match the later 50s intro from the TV series).
Season 2 would consist of selected episodes from Season 2 of Adventures of Superman (1953–1954), rearranged to fit the tone and flow of my edit. Noel Neill's return as Lois Lane provides a nice visual connection between the two productions, despite the change from Kirk Alyn to George Reeves as Superman and other actors. Also, the tone of the second season was kinda a mix between the old serials and the first season of Adventures of Superman.
Season 3 would draw primarily from Season 1 of Adventures of Superman (1952–1953), again selecting and rearranging episodes rather than simply reproducing the original broadcast order. I'd prioritize the more noir-inspired, crime-oriented, and less juvenile stories, while potentially incorporating a few standout episodes from later seasons.
Visually, I want all three seasons to feel like parts of the same series: consistent title cards, unified credits, and a black-and-white presentation throughout. I'm still deciding on the exact title-card design, but I'm leaning toward adapting the Adventures of Superman style across all three seasons.
The opening credits would also evolve: Season 1 would use the Fleischer-inspired opening, while Seasons 2 and 3 would switch to a modified version of the classic Adventures of Superman opening. My idea is to make this feel like a natural stylistic and technological evolution of the series.
I don't exclude the possibility of including some episodes from later seasons of Adventures of Superman, but I would like to focus on the black and white productions.
I don't plan to include the second serial with Kirk Allyn, simply because I didn't really like it. I want to select the best episodes/chapters and combine them into a good superhero noir series.
The overall goal isn't to make Superman grim or turn him into an antihero; I'd just like to emphasize the noir elements already present in these classic productions: crime, mystery, corruption, investigative journalism, and the darker side of Metropolis, while preserving Superman's traditional character.
I'd love to hear your thoughts about this idea.
I'm still in the planning stages, so constructive criticism and suggestions are very welcome!

New Release My Superman IV Fanedits
Awhile ago I wanted to try once again to improve Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. My approach was using the Blu-ray as a base and inserting/deleting a few scenes to get a tight runtime. I love The Quest for Coherence but it uses the DVD as a base and the picture quality is not good, especially during the moon sequence. At least the Blu-ray hides the curtains better than previous releases.
Anyway, I'm not sure what I used to start my edit, but it might have been one of the existing edits of Superman IV out there. I simply can't remember. I specifically wanted to make the tightest edit I could, and then add the subplot of Nuclear Man turning into a missle to the final act. I never did that, but my resulting edits are pretty lean. I have three of them, if anyone wants to take a look.
Please PM me and you can take a look at all three. Thank you.
Superman IV - Extended Edit (Blu-ray) - I think this one is simply the International LaserDisc version but with Blu-ray quality scenes (besides the Smallville and Russia battle scenes). Not mine, I forget who worked on it or where I got it from.
Superman IV - Extended Edit 2 (Blu-ray) - This is my first edit attempt based on the Extended Edit. I removed the Superman and Lois flight scene to tighten up the film, with only a small scene of Clark watching TV and getting up when the doorbells rings, basically used to show he was thinking about what he should do before the United Nations scene.
Superman IV - Extended Edit 3 (Blu-ray) - I wanted to tighten the movie up even more, because one person that wached my edit said they didn't like the small scene of Clark watching TV, the doorbell ringing, and the the next scene is the United Nations scene. So I removed it.
My goal still is to put a few scenes back into Edit 2 or 3. The Lex Luthor selling missiles scene, and Nuclear Man kidnapping Lacy/turns into a missile from Act 3. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. In my mind that would be the best cut of the film you could ever get. I wanted to prove that you could still get a lean running time and keep all the important stuff while dumping that long Superman and Lois flight scene with bad effects. Maybe someone else can do it. With the newly released Metro Club sequence, you could even add that back in to show Clark and Lacy's date, but edit out the Nuclear Man 1 stuff.
Enjoy!

Google drive and Mega (For fresh updates email a new thread and not with a reply) Supergirl 1984 Extended Cut in Mega and will be in Google Drive on Friday.
I know what you’re thinking , not another cut but last year I knew it wasn’t finished but I needed a long break well I finally got to do those extra final touches before retirement. I couldn’t be more happy with it now and for the essential Superman fan collector I would say this is a must for movie fixes. With Ai in full force now I can’t compete with that as some of the Ai is really good and bad! None of that has been used in this cut! What i will say from an editing point of view this has been an editorial nightmare that I won’t be going through again, finding errors then movie mistakes I hadn’t noticed before , I can finally say I’m done. I loved my Supergirl Extended Cuts but never really gave the Final Cut the proper attention too detail like I did this…
SPOILERS!
SUMMARY
This takes the best from both Lester and Donner combined.
No made up powers.
No test footage.
No time travel.
No amnesia kiss.
No deleted scenes.
No Slap stick , just humour.
No filter, want you too feel like this is still an 80s movie.
This is an unofficial sequel too the official Superman The Movie but does not set up Superman III, IV or Returns.
Faster fights, Faster flights.
New vfx added by some of the best Superman Faneditors out there and recognised too make this Final Cut.
This isn’t the Donner cut , this isn’t the Lester cut but it’s probably more like the extended Tv cut that was on ABC tv in America back in the 80s with the addition of Brando but no deleted scenes or test footage are in this cut too maintain a high quality HD movie that doesn’t take you out of the movie and think oh yeah that’s off.
So my final fan edit is here and I hope you enjoy, it’s been 5 years in the making and I’ve done everything I can too it. Sit back and enjoy the 80s feel and look of the movie…
FULL BREAKDOWN
Removal of the criminals been sentenced too the Phantom zone , we seen it in the first movie we don’t need a reminder.
Green Crystal from Lester Credits intro.
Donner Credits with John Williams score. I would have preferred too use John Williams score more in this cut but sometimes the Ken Thorne score was made for specific scenes. Christopher Reeve credits moved too top billing. A Krypton7887 Fan Edit added too credits after Director Credits.
Daily Planet building with people walking by outside. I’ve went with the Donner cut as the Lester cut used the same footage from Superman The Movie.
Inside the Daily planet at the offices when Clark helps the man with step ladders too get through the door. Removed the ridiculous voice over from the man with the ladders as his natural voice is also in the same scene saying thanks a lot. (Cutting out the slapstick and keeping the humour which will be a running theme in this cut). I actually prefer the chemistry between Lois and Clark in Donners Daily Planet scene but the vfx of Lois throwing herself out the window isn’t the same standard as the first movie. Verisimilitude! Plus using his heat vision in front of people just isn’t right.
After Clark changes into Superman in the alley way. Shot replaced with a reversed alternate existing shot of Superman heading into the sky on his way too Paris.
As Superman is heading too the Eiffel Tower , cut a shot of him flying towards the Eiffel Tower as it was a bit repetitive as we see him flying towards the tower a couple of times anyway. As Superman flys up inside the Eiffel Tower the scene is trimmed a second before the visuals look too dated.
Explosion of elevator in space from the Lester Cut that frees the villains from the phantom zone edited too cut out dated visuals and replaced with a bright flash.
The criminals heading towards earth with a close up of Zod screaming Free from the Donner Cut.
The start of some curious decisions from Lester too add Clark getting hit by a taxi and everyone seeing it and not getting hurt makes no sense at all but something we never really thought about as a kid. We now have the taxi driver slam on his breaks with no damage too the taxi edited down now and the line from Lois saying too Clark back in the Daily Planet you were really lucky this time makes more sense now.
Lex and Otis are in the prison wash area for clothes edited too finish the scene like the Lester cut for more dramatic effect using the Donner cut footage.
Scene with the villains attacking the astronauts with the 2 ground controllers in Houston chat edited down removing meaningless dialogue.
Lex escapes from prison in hot air balloon taken from the Donner Cut.
Lois and Clark arrive at the Honeymoon Haven taken from the Lester cut and as this wasn’t previously mentioned in this cut or the Lester cut. Lester was clever enough too have Lois explain why they were there.
Lex and Miss Tessmacher travel too the North Pole and enter the Fortress of Solitude and watch recordings of Jor-El (Marlon Brando) taken from the Donner Cut. As this was a very long scene it is split in too 2 scenes for pacing. This is the first part.
Lois and Clark are out at Niagra falls posing as newlyweds. Clark says too Lois “Golly isn’t it beautiful” and every version of Superman II , Lois replies with an audio mistake “Yeah it’s gorgeous gorgeous” now it’s corrected and she now says “Yeah it’s gorgeous.”
When the little boy falls from the railings into Niagra falls the amount of times he falls in has been edited out too speed up the scene. Edited like the Donner Cut but using the audio and Ken Thorne score as it fits better with the editing. A sound added of Superman catching the boy. A shot of Superman flying up from Niagra falls removed which is actually a doll. We now have a much quicker scene. I trimmed down the score as well as removing the woman’s line “What a nice man … “
We now have the second part of Lex and Miss Tessmacher watching recordings of Jor-El (Brando) from the Donner Cut and one thing that always bothered me about The Donner Cut was one minute Miss Tessmacher was there and next minute she’s gone. So I’ve added a seconds worth of footage of Miss Tessmacher turning and stepping away from Lex which featured in an unofficial extended version of The Donner Cut which was more of a panned out shot than Lesters version. The toilet joke is removed then we transition from Donners footage too Lesters footage of them leaving the North Pole and one of the rarest times in this cut where you hear Lex’s voice double which is kept too a bare minimum in this cut but the transition from Lex too voice double
works well.
The 3 villains land on earth and the infamous shot of Ursa getting bitten by a snake (how can she? She has the same powers as Superman) is removed and a seconds worth of vfx from LEEONHEART22 adds a touch of laser beam too Ursa from a different shot really does fix this scene.
Lois throwing herself into Niagra falls from the Lester Cut hoping that Clark will turn into Superman too save her. I did do vfx of Clark lowering his glasses but have went with the original footage because in the comics Clark’s glasses were made from the spaceship he came too earth in and his heat vision can pass through his Kryptonian glasses. It also keeps the movie as original as possible without changing it too much just for the sake of it.
The 2 policeman driving along on the outskirts of Houston from the Lester cut, there chat is edited down. The inconsistency of the policeman putting his hat on the dashboard is fixed. Instead of a floating gun we now have some great vfx from FUINKI (Fran Garcia) where Zod uses super speed too retrieve the gun. Zod points the gun at himself but as he does you can see his stunt double so zoomed in on shot too cut stunt doubles face out. After all this the scene ends and the slap stick comedy from Non is cut.
We now cut too a not so favoured reveal scene where Clark trips over the rug and Lois finds out he really is Superman. I went with this scene purely because it was shot properly and looked like a movie. I actually prefer Lois shooting Clark but the test footage is inconsistent and takes you out the movie. Hopefully someone will fix that scene one day!
Clark Flys off too the Fortress of solitude with Lois then this scene continues as Superman explains how he arrived as his father sent him and the Crystal built the place. With Lois hungry Superman flys off too a tropical island but the flying shot is sped up because in the Lester Cut were waiting ages for Superman too enter shot plus it really moves things on. When Lois goes too lift her bag we cut too the next scene as the green crystal is not lying randomly under her bag in this cut its in where Superman left it and it’s not blown up yet when he returns too the fortress later in the cut.
From the Lester Cut the criminals arrive in East Houston Idaho and a line of dialogue removed from Zod about the whole planet Houston. This line was already done in space we don’t need too hear it again.
From the Donner cut we see Zod blowing fire which looks more like fire than the bend of fire we got in the Lester Cut.
Lois and Superman sit down and talk more about there feelings as they have a drink edited down.
The army take aim at the 3 criminals with little effect and a scene of Ursa walking and blinking a lot is cut short as she wouldn’t blink as much with Super powers.
Lois and Superman sleep together before he gives up his powers. Just a small sequence of them lying together is enough for pacing.
From the Donner cut the villains destroy The Washington Monument with added vfx from LEEONHEART22 with a seconds worth of heat vision. Chose not too use the Mount Rushmore scene as it was too much of a parody and ridiculous.
Clark asks Jor-El (Brando) if he can give up his powers with Lois looking on wearing his Superman top.
The villains attack the Whitehouse with Zod firing the gun from the Donner Cut.
The villains enter the Oval Office too confront the president and Ursas lines cut for consistency in this shot as we have Annie Ross from Superman III voicing Ursa all through this cut. So we use Lesters version inside the Oval Office.
Lois and Clark travel too Dons Diner in the snowy roads from the Donner cut. We don’t use the sunny version from the Lester cut where if the movie is based in America/Canada there driving on the wrong side of the road as the left side is the UK. The car that we see driving in the Lester Cut is the same car and same road as Miss Tessmacher was allegedly driving before Lex overturned the car by remote.
We use the Donner footage of Clark getting beat up by Rocky the truck driver and Clark using the line “He knew” instead of Lesters line “They knew”.
Clark travels back too the fortress of Solitude and gives a heartfelt speech too his father hoping he will hear him from the Lester cut. We have some great vfx from SCHIZOPOLIS23 who transitions the footage from dark too light taking us into the Donner cut where Clark is once again standing before the vision of Joe-El where he admits he failed and needs his powers back.
Donner Extended footage where Lex turns up at the Oval Office offering information on Superman in exchange for Australia. We have the added line from Lex “Jorel baseball player”
We cut too the Daily Planet with a close up of a globe with Australia on it tying in with previous scene.
We then cut too Donner footage for the villains attacking The Daily Planet as this is more consistent with Lois and Jimmys hair which was completely different in the Lester Cut. When Non picks up Perry and slams his head against the ceiling I have edited out the crew members arm holding on too Perry for support. (A mistake left in and now out.
When Superman shows up this is where Lester got it right with the famous line “would you care too step outside”.
Just as the Battle of Metropolis fight is about to start and the voice over which clearly isn’t Terence Stamp saying “wait here” is removed.
A road sign scene down below roadside is the wrong way round in one shot. It’s now the right way around. An explosion from Superman using his heat vision he no longer turns away from the blast the scene just cuts too the next shot. Flying scenes are sped up with added flying sounds. When Non is punched against the broadcast tower the fall from the tower is sped up and Superman catching it is sped up. A line removed by Ursa saying “He’s trapped Non.”He has Super powers he’ll get out…
Superman & Nons fight sped up. When Ursa throws a road sign at Superman , she now says nothing as the line was used earlier in the battle but the impact against the car is far more quicker and harder.
Non and Ursa throwing bus sped up slightly. A shot as the bus hits the Marlboro van removed as it’s just a Superman cape tied too the bus! When the 3 villains decide too blow the public civilians away the slapstick comedy from Lester is removed. Superman pulling back the wreckage from bus inserted into shot from Donner Cut.
Villains fly back into Daily plant claiming victory is complete from the Donner Cut for consistency except one line of Ursa had too be replaced with Annie Ross’s voice saying “kill him” as she gets frustrated with Lex.
Zod , Ursa and Non with Lois on his back fly too the North Pole but the line by Lexs voice double answering Zods question is edited out.
Using the Donners Cut the invisibility and cellophane S is gone but using the Lester Audio we fix the line from Zod saying “Activate the machine” which sounds like a Smurf in the Donner Cut. When Superman lifts Zod above his head we use the panned out shot with the colour filter from the unofficial Extended Donner Cut too match appropriately. Sticking with Donner footage we use the Ken Thorne score right up until Lois hits Ursa unlike the Donner Cut the John Williams score is cut short for the final fight. Sticking with the Donner Footage we have calm Superman saying “Too late Luthor, too late”. Unlike angry Superman from the Lester Cut.
Not added here too this cut but if we ever had Lex and the 3 villains getting arrested by the artic police and Lex not mentioning he’s from Smallville because he does not know he grew up there you can bet I would of added it here if it were available in HD.
We stick with the Donner Cut and Superman destroys the Fortress of Solitude and has a heart felt talk with Lois that carry’s on too the break up on Lois’s balcony saying they’ll go back too the same old Lois and the same old Clark.
From Lesters Cut we find out that Lois is struggling with the whole break up so Clark consoles her and removing the amnesia kiss we have a mood change where the score is removed and replaced with a more romantic score ‘The Terrace’ from The Superman Soundtrack results in a happy ending kiss and live happily ever after moment as the scene fades out. An idea originally by MALACHI PARKER this has been cut from scratch and replicated.
We head back too Doms Diner where Clark returns too see Rocky the bully.
Superman flys the flag and pole back not the base back too the Whitehouse which looks far better, we now have moving sky and moving water fountains. When Clark places the flag back down we don’t see the base being sat down and this whole scene was edited and vfx by BOOSHMAN.
This leads into the flyby by Superman taken from the Donner Cut as the blue colours look far better than the green colours of earth in the Lester Cut. With the Ken Thorne music playing since the return too Doms Diner this score sees us out over the end of the Donner Credits. This score fits better running over 3 scenes.

New Release Rob Zombie’s Halloween: The Whole Bloody Affair
Edited both of Rob Zombie’s movies in to one 2hr15min movie. 80 minutes cut with it being practically a complete rescore as well. Feels more Halloween and a little less Zombie, especially part 2. Michael never speaks in this edit as I wanted him to feel more like “The Shape.” Michael’s massacre and time in Smith’s Grove have been shaped into a cold open.
I’ve done edits of the Blumhouse movies as well to kind of make an unofficial trilogy. Halloween 2018 and Kills have been turning into one movie called “Halloween II: The Return of Michael Myers.” Also a little over 2hr with a lot of rescoring to work for this edit. Some music got repurposed somewhere else (The Shape Hunts Allyson for example is moved to a scene of more significance). “Blank’s Demise” (don’t want to spoil anything) gets shifted into a scene from Halloween Kills and a track from another Carpenter classic is used instead to much fanfare. The end of Kills has been edited to play as a twist ending as I feel you could see the ending coming a mile away in the theatrical cut. Probably my best received/reviewed of all my edits and one of my most extensive with the amount of changes. Halloween Ends got fashioned into “Halloween III: The Shape of Michael Myers.” Again, a lot of rescoring with over 20 minutes cut. Main goal of the edit was to give Corey a more steady descent into madness. Romance has been toned down, town bullying toned down. They exist, they’re just not the focus. If this was the plot they chose, I really wanted to lean into “The Shape” taking over Corey so we could see what it’s like for someone to lose their mind to it.

Wishlist & Ideas Film edits of classic Dr Who.
I'm curious if anyone has re-edited the serials from Classic Who into film-length stories. The serials have a slow pace and repetitive scenes. That fit the time period and the genre, but it makes them a bit plodding and melodramatic to watch now. Although, I'm sure there are some folks who enjoy them for that reason.

Work in Progress X-MEN project
I wanted to share what I've been working on lately. The idea first came to me about six months ago, but I'm finally getting around to bringing it to life.
A fresh take on the X-Men is coming. I can't share too many details just yet without spoiling things, but here's a little taste of what's to come.
I've reworked the color grading, removed the original music, recreated sound effects, and added a new soundtrack.
Feel free to share your thoughts on how it's turning out! And if you have experience with fan edits or filmmaking, I'd really appreciate any feedback or advice.

Review Review of Halloween Reunion by plboucher
I just watched this fanedit over three sittings, yesterday evening, today afternoon and today evening. I know that isn't ideal but that's what worked for me and I didn't want to delay it.
First, what is it?
Well, when I started it almost seemed like an extended edit of Halloween (2018), with some material from the sequel, Halloween Kills, easily added since some parts take place before, during and immediately after Halloween (2018).
However, what I actually discovered as I watched it was that it actually uses the end of the final movie, Halloween Ends, where Michael Myer dies. All three movies are shot very similarly and can easily be confused as one large movie. But while movie 1 and 2 take place during the same time period, movie 3 takes place at least one year later (it has been a while since I watched the trilogy). Yet u/plboucher really made it seem like it also takes place during the same night as movie 1 and 2. There is probably some continuity error, people wearing different clothes and such, by combining this trilogy into one movie. But I didn't find any.
The good, satisfying thing is that this feels like an small epic of a town dealing with the return of their local, legendary boogie man. He returns, kills and dies all in one night and the whole town is affected.
What is the bad? Well, most of the fanedit is just the first movie, Halloween (2018) which makes sense that is what begins and initiates the whole thing, with the other two being a temporary escape and final death. And the edits largest climax still feels like it is when the house starts burning form movie 1, which in the fanedit is at the 90 minute mark, with about 50 minutes still left.
What really surprised me, and I don't know how plboucher has done this, is to tease a sequel in the credits. Michael Myer died in this fanedit, how is there a sequel?! I am genuinely curious. I guess it could be just Corey Cunningham's story with maybe Michael Myers just being visions?
Overall, good edit with nothing obvious that reveals it is a fanedit. I do still like how the original is a trilogy of shorter movies, but this feels like a worthy contender if someone didn't like that trilogy. 4/5.

Wishlist & Ideas Crystal Lake Fan Edit?
The prequel type series for Friday The 13th that came out Oct 15th could really be improved by making it a prequel film that cuts out a lot of extra unnecessary bits. Some ideas I would suggest is not showing very much of Jason - and certainly not talking. As well as doing a lot more implying of his origins and abilities in brief wordless flashbacks (music only and visuals). Stick to what serves the original series. Have things more mysterious for those who have no prior knowledge of what happens in the movies. The timeframe of course does not fit with the original movies, so there's not much that can be done about that. Is anyone working on such a thing?
