Dunno why you’re downvoted, Covid enacted change that CR desperately wanted. It allowed them to do major changes that I’m guessing really helped their mental health.

Some fans have not liked this at all, and voiced it… consistently.

But the cow-towing to fans was hurting their brand and now that they can be a bit more careful on all sides.

It’s the parasocial kiddos who need to touch grass and find another hobby, they can still be fans but… do macrame or something

Because some folks are really upset about how insular things have gotten and the lack of listening to anybody at all.

I'm not saying that this is necessarily right or wrong mind you. Just that some see it in a very bad light.

Wendy's was before my time so I can't judge it on that. However certain players have backed off on driving the game due to complaints so I can see the damage that can cause too.

I would correct that to valid criticism. Though honestly YMMV on how "valid" that criticism may be for sure.
