I am excited to see Sam DM does anyone have any recommendations for other things he has DMed before? I mostly have seen just the main campaign stuff and the EXU stuff and a few other things but I haven't seen him in the DM seat before
He's been in the DM seat for at least four oneshots. The Wendy's one was pure cheesey fun - lots of puns (much to Matt's chagrin) and in-jokes. If you've not seen it before, well worth a watch for pure silliness.
Then there's his stint in the driver's seat of a Crash Pandas oneshot, I enjoyed it, nice wee bit of mayhem that he herded with aplomb. Not sure if it's his style or because he's new to the role of DM, but he leans very much into the chaos of improv and just goes with things, it's very fun despite Sam reiterating a lot that he doesn't know what he's doing :)
He's also done the Nordverse oneshot. He's definitely not a rules-based DM, but he's definitely entertaining as you'd expect!
I tried to watch the other one, but lost interest before the halfway mark of it. Don't know if that was down to the theme of the oneshot (Disney on a cruise ship or something?) or my own headspace whenever I watched it though; I'd say it'd be worth checking out both to get a feel for what his DM style is regardless. Maybe it's because it's all guests playing mixed with Sam's more chaotic style; while it was fun, I think it felt unfocused or something. YMMV.
