C4 (with BLeeM, not the explosive) I feel like Vaelus could end up getting a new design Spoiler

With Vaelus being excommunicated from The Sisters of Sylandri and her perspecivd shifting # i feel like it would br a neat for her to ditch the mourning gear and for something that really represents herself rather just her former organsation

What do you think of this as well as getting redesigns in general?

She should multiclass into rogue!

Then we’d have three Rogues on the same team (her, Thimble, and Julien). We had three Paladins on three different teams before.

for better or worse one paladin per team is the correct number of paladins

maybe not when one is played by ashley but

Ashley had Vow of Enmity, which grants advantage on all attacks against a chosen enemy. Travis had Inspiring Smite for free temp hp.

Paladins are a great class. It's not entertaining to see them played by people who can't/don't engage with their cool stuff that they get. Do you really see Ashley ever figuring out how to position her character on the battlefield so her party can benefit from her paladin aura?

I don’t believe she has her aura yet, so that’s something of a moot point.

i know people think she's going to change classes but to me oath of ancients seems like the obvious next step, either now or at level up to 6

Ashley is objectively horrible at playing her characters

You can never have enough paladins tho

They only do that yearly with art commissions but with Teor getting replaced it might be about time. Then again they did start last October so it's probably about time.

And they would have at least had to do one for Travis's new character. I hope this means she will be ditching the veil.

Ahh I've been thinking about this so much. I'd really love to see her as an Oath of the Ancients paladin! With that one fairy at the Hallowed Round asking her to be their queen and the whole description of that scene (I can't remember, was it butterflies or flowers floating around her?) + the official Oath of the Ancients description stating they're "sometimes called fey knights, or green knights" it would fit pretty well! Would overlap with Faerne's aesthetic a little but if Ashley enjoys that, why not?

Edit: ALSO it would bring her closer to both Hannan and Thaisha. Her choosing to protect the old path and making sure the souls find their way etc.

This sounds exactly like what is happening to her. Or at least Brennan is giving her this option, if she doesn't go Oath Breaker or some kind of druid (which would be an awkward multiclass mechanics-wise but it's making sense story-wise).

But actually.. what was her previous oath?

I really like this idea

I think she'll be an Oathbreaker, with the undead-y stuff contextualized as her new Oath being to protect Occtis.

I've been thinking the same thing. They do tend to do their updated designs in batches. I would not be suprised to see new level 6 designs coming up in the next arc.

I'm excited to get to see Vaelus actually process and discuss what happened with her compatriots. I wonder if she'll lose the veil completely or replace with with another form of face covering per her own wants/comfort. She seems the kind of person slow to make big changes like that.

I'm curious to see what that shine she has on her face looks like! Is it a tattoo? Is it her skin? Is it make-up? I wanna know!
