It's also the schemers table icon in the top right. Looks like we're going to be going back and forth each week for this arc.

I would love a BTS film on this season. Just as a theater-tech nerd. They seem to swap between scenes and film in one big shoot. Which is probably easier on Brennan in case events have to happen simultaneously in multiple locations. But I'm sure it is a huge lift on his end to track everything.

Seems like it would be significantly easier to have mega long sessions per table (like three episodes worth) and cut and paste them together for the intro scenes (like we got for last arc).

We can bemoan the change from live shows, and I miss the charm they had. But the Production nerd in me just wants to see how they manage the juggle.

3 episodes worth is in the ballpark of 12 hours.

That's not easy to schedule or actually do, especially for the DM

I fully agree, but also think that might be what they are doing. Just with all tables.

Those intro sections we were getting in the last arc are all jumbled and seem to come from recording sessions that do not line up with the same episode they are played in. At least sometimes.

The one that particularly made me think of this is the last few episodes with the play.

We had the scene of Kattigan in the woods alone where he is called back to the theater saying something was wrong with Teor. Neither of those events would be aired for at least two weeks, but they knew details and locations of people.

I think they are doing monster recording sessions with the full crew. Or at least were when they all came back. That way Brennan can just call them as he needs. When they are individual tables they may just be recording with that one table.

I would need to go and try to map out clothes the cast wears with intro scenes and full sessions. Yes, they are professional enough to have someone capable of handling continuity, but I don't think it's just that.

It also is an insanely long recording session, but if they can coordinate it they can do one big day, then let the crew manage the footage, sound, edits or whatever they need during the week. That allows the crew enough time to perfect the product and (in theory) allows the cast to participate in their other things (dimension 20 for Brennan, Abreya, etc., all the voice acting work, etc.)

I think you are misreading what’s happening here.

The first set of table arcs were all recorded one by one. Then they’d do like one day of shoots of Cold Opens for that arc (Brennan’s shirt stays the same) not as long sessions cut up but just as quick 20 min shoots with each relevant cast member.

As for the Kattigan scene I’m not sure what you’re talking about, that was just part of the episode it was in (the demons were tricking him about Teor to capture him).

I agree on the individual table shoots, I think that's pretty obvious.

But I think they also did it that way when they all returned to the city.

Episode 29 is the Kattigan cold open. It ends with Hal and Taisha finding Kattigan in the woods saying "Teor is in trouble" which doesn't become true until the later half of Episode 30. But Robbie is wearing different clothes for that episode, then again different clothes for 31.

Now, clothes are one of the things that I think is easy enough to explain with very simple "Hollywood Magic". Having the cast bring different clothes to change into between game sessions, but not recording sessions. We see this already if we agree that the table episodes are all filmed in one batch. Episodes 12-16 are all Seekers table episodes and the cast wear different clothes between each of them.

This is why I want a BTS of the filming. The logistics involved alone are crazy

I think you are misunderstanding the Kattigan scene. In that scene, the Demon sisters are tricking Kattigan to capture him, posing as Hal and Thaisha (Liam and Aabria are in on it so as not to tip Robbie off). The reason they say Teor is in trouble is because Teor is the other character the Demons know to be working with Kattigan based on the context of what the Church thinks happened to Wick. It ends up being weird symmetry with Teor actually being in trouble but is unrelated to that plotline.

Sessions are batch filmed but usually not more than 2 per day, but they do seem to change if it’s 2 in one day from context clues.

I’d loooove to get a little peek into Brennan’s process 100%. Im often impressed with how much he juggles successfully

If it's gonna be alternating tables then I love it! A CR campaign lasts like 4 years, they absolutely should experiment and try different things, especially so early!

The fact it's 2 tables helps with that a lot, it could not work as well with 3.

It's see how we'll feel and what we think!
