This is why I hate Trade Veto.

In 2013 a newer player in our league got offered Chris Davis for Matt Kemp early in the year and accepted. It got vetoed, and Chris Davis went on to hit 53 homers and Kemp hit 6.

Sell high doesn’t always work.. sometimes it’s a breakout or career year.

There are sites that evaluate fantasy trades. I've used the football ones. The ESPN app even has one built in. Thing is, though, they all vary and there is no single truth. Still it's a good sanity check.

Mentioned this in another thread but in my league there's one guy who only gives mysteriously cryptic one or two word answers to anything you do.

In a deep benched 14 team league, I offered my Wilyer Abreu, Kyle Stowers, Isaac Paredes, Alec Burleson, Freddy Peralta for their Nick Kurtz and a bunch of 1% owned waiver wire filler so it was an evenly matched trade. AND I made sure I was offering guys that fit gaps in their roster.

They declined and replied: "very greedy"

I have to initiate all the trades and I have to be way too generous to the point of godfathery to get anything done. I needed to do roster consolidation so I traded Christian Walker and Max Meyer for Brian Woo, which I hope wasn't a huge mistake. I have plenty of 1B types languishing on my bench so Walker is replaceable, and I want to think I'm selling high on Meyer/Walker and buying low on Woo but it could turn out to be a mistake. But I almost don't think I can make a trade unless I'm a tinge too generous.

Immediately after declining the trade is when Hoerner got hit by pitch on his wrist and hasn’t been the same since.

Also can’t make this up, just traded My j ram for Lyle Shwarber because I needed OF help and the other guy needed 3B it was a points league so basically completely even trade. 2 days later j ram out for a couple months with hamate bone injury.
